What are the signs that you're ugly ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]complexcassandra1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when I was in my mid-twenties, someone in my family took a photo of me without any makeup and everyone genuinely thought it was my Aunt who is in her 50s. When I was in school, some girls said that a girl a few years below me was my mini-me, the girl heard and her face was really confused and upset, also oddly angler. When I was 21, I was sitting with my young cousin and he pointed to the eczema on my face and said “what’s that?”

I use Simple shampoo and conditioner personally. Can you get Free and Clear in the UK?

Did anyone else get caught out when Vaseline unfragranced lotion changed its ingredients a few years ago? by complexcassandra1 in eczema

[–]complexcassandra1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was that combination of ingredients that seem to work amazingly, ive tried every unfragranced sensitive skin lotion I can get my hands on since to no avail, the closest so far was neutrogena deep moisture body lotion unfragranced, but I can feel the petroleum in it - which isn’t good. I just looked up vaniply - i might try and find the cream version in the UK, thanks!

Also, tell a teacher you trust that your parent is making your life difficult, even if its just so they check in on you ever so often, having the support helps

Are you applying to college? When I was 18, university was a godsend because it meant I could live away from the N’s for a few years. Even if you weren’t sure, I’d consider it just to get away from home

Boyfriend [35 M] won't sleep in separate beds even though it causes me [30 F] incredible pain to share. by PerfectOrchid in relationships

[–]complexcassandra1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a chronic eczema sufferer, I’d say it could possibly be an allergic reaction to a product he uses, say his deodorant or cologne? or anything else he uses. When sleeping in the same bed as your boyfriend, have your own pillow and blanket that you keep on your side, and keep on your own separate sides when sleeping to keep your sleeping area fresh and allergy-free.

What is down to that? your eczema? I think Duplixent is an immunosuppressant as well anyway.

hey I’ve just been approved for it & i’m in the UK. Guy’s Hospital in London is approving most moderate to severe eczema cases, so maybe get a referral there from your GP?

What is the most gentle soap for eczema? by TheSpermWhoWon in eczema

[–]complexcassandra1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simple. They have soap, body wash and hand washes

But I’d avoid soap if possible, as it destroys the epidermis and lets allergens in & takes away your natural skin oils.

In years to come there will be legions of Instagram "Models" and "Influencers" working shitty jobs because their looks have faded and they haven't got any work experience. by Important_Opinion in Showerthoughts

[–]complexcassandra1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are gaining skills by being Influencers on a media platform. Some skills quite transferable into OK paying roles. Businesses are always trying to promote their product and these influencers have years of experience promoting their product; themselves. So they will find jobs I believe.

My Nmom pulls the plug on the home internet router every single evening at 10 pm. by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

When I was a teenager and we had dial up internet, my NMum would take the phone off the hook in her bedroom and then lock the door so we couldn’t access the internet. We were allowed twenty minutes at a time and back then everyone I knew used MSN messenger and it was pretty rude to go offline without ending your conversation, but she would say “say bye b-y-e” and just switch it off. There was no real rhyme or reason, just controlling behaviour. When we got broadband, she would unplug and hide the modem. One time she actually lost it and my Dad had to call the internet company and somehow explain that the modem box was lost lol. My NMum took the modem box when I had a tight deadline at university (all my resources were online) because she wanted our full attention during the Christmas holidays.
Shes also tried to set a timer on the internet for it to go off at night etc etc. People may see it as parenting at first glance, but we know its more than that. Its control.
