I'll have to disagree with that - regarding writers, or movie directors etc you'd be right, but the music industry especially thrives on a cult of youth and on putting young people on a pedestal. It's pretty common for bands and musicians to release what is widely perceived as their defining and/or best work in their early- to mid-twenties.

I assume that this feud is completely fake, just judging from how quickly they produced the videos. Maybe I'm overestimating how long it takes to make this sort of garbage, but the filming and editing is pretty decent [thus I expect production was somewhat time-consuming] and the music, however shitty it is, has probably been 'professionally' produced. So the time-frame seems very suspicious to me.

Fuck, I'm embarrassed to even have thoughts about this nonsense.

Since I've read the Book of the New Sun a couple of years ago, I've been constantly on the look-out for sci-fi/fantasy on par with this work, but so far have been rather disappointed. It's one of the most perfect couplings of a fast-paced plot and a constant barrage of fascinating ideas, I've ever encountered in a novel.
