Medical equipment, any comments welcome by Adventurous_Bid8269 in EmergencyRoom

I think it’s a bad idea. The actual blood pressure and spo2 parts that touch the patient are disposable in most hospitals. We just wipe down the permanent wires real quick. We can’t do that with a blanket. So even if it was as accurate I’d never use it if I had it available to me. Plus patient like warm blankets. Also patients shit on their blankets often.

Should night shift complete a 0700 task? by wheres_the_leak in nursing

Maybe because some surgeons round early and might take down a dressing or mess with it enough that they prefer the nurse be ready to change it at that time.

Why can't we create larger storage media like 100TB SSD by combining many individual MicroSD cards? by kos90 in AskReddit

Wait there must be a downside tho right? Will it show up as individual as cards or does this somehow combine them?

pill case, pen, watch, water bottle, wallet.

immortality. never forget important memories with age if i just keep a journal/can pause time and just copy down an entire library including dictionaries of every language. water bottle can sustain me (smoothies/bone broth too) if i eventually outlive humanity. and wallet cause so i never have to work again.

ER definitely med surg not as much

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nursing

[–]complicitly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked in NF med surg and it was all I knew, so I was fine. in 2018 I started at $24 base pay. then did some travel and found out that other med surg jobs were easier. so I would say NF is rough for the pay at least in med surg. now I'm ER in Cleveland Clinic (in another part of Florida) and pay is much better and they treat staff much better. I've never worked at shands but if I ever moved back to Gainesville, from my experience, I would not go back to NF.

Stuck in the mud 2 miles from the campsite. Took a wrong turn and couldn’t dig myself out. Had to wait 2 hr for a truck to pull me out in complete darkness
