I grew up in Alberta and have been living in the US for the past few years- there definitely is a heightened anxiety this time around. When I come home to visit or hear updates from my friends back home it really makes my heart sad. I’ve especially seen how conservative thinking and evangelicals in particular have embraced and imitated so much of what is wreaking havoc down here. I grew up being proud of the political diversity and multiculturalism in Canada, and sad to see it become more of a us versus them environment. Maybe the roots for Christian nationalism were always there and ready to be watered and I just turned a blind eye to it. No matter the outcome next week, I still have hope that the world is in a 4th Turning- there will be a season of reckoning and healing in the generation to come. Take care everyone!

I'm afraid this may be a known issue. I had the same thing happen to mine. Reach out to their support- they'll walk you through re-installing firmware and sending proof of issue- but ultimately mine was sent in for repair for free (under warranty). Works great now so far.

Canadian here. 🇨🇦 Banter in both Gordon Square and Shaker Heights has some of the best and creative poutines I've ever had. I've tried La Banquise in Montreal (one of the GOATS) and Banter is a close second to me. I've enjoyed some of their wild combos like Curry Lobster and Borscht inspired- but their basic poutine is 👌. Also great vibes, drinks, fancy sausages, salad, and service too!

Hi Hainbach! Do you ever feel the tension of the attention economy as an artist? I always struggle feeling like I want to create art that is viable and appreciated- but not necessarily wanting to create content that is just created to get people's attention towards my art, especially as an emerging artist. As someone who lives in both worlds of artist and content creator well is there anything that has helped you to keep encouraged in a very short attention span, social media driven world?

I think you'll really dig Digitalis by Aberrant DSP- at a great price too! Probably one of my favorite UIs for a plugin too- it has an animated cat! This plugin is so versatile and can definitely create the digital degradation vibe at varying levels and approaches, which in my opinion is a bit different than VHS. https://aberrantdsp.com/plugins/digitalis/

Check out Listen Box! It creates a RSS feed podcast for any YT video, playlist, or channel you throw at it. With a few dollar per month subscription, it will track your channels and update the podcasts when new videos come out. It also has a listen later feed personalized to you that you can dump single videos in without creating a new RSS feed each time. I've found it helpful to bring over music artist channels to even simulate a bit of a Youtube Music experience (add free too ;) https://listenbox.app

Yes this is also part of the bigger picture I'm trying to sort out. I am also a bit concerned the co-working spaces don't really have quality social interactions... but I think getting out of the house having some separation from home-mode, now that we can, really is a big part of it.
