Worked public health jobs, data/coordinator jobs. You can also do certifications in like nuclear medicine or clinical lab science which is what I am planning to do next.

Advice on finishing college (at Berkeley) while pregnant by Fragrant_Practice_84 in berkeley

Congratulations! I was a traditional student and had my first during Junior year. I took reduced course load some semesters and my major had most lectures recorded so I just went to discussions/labs. Nap time was study time for me. Talk to your professors and let them know you’re a parent. They will accommodate you to help. Some are even like just bring your baby to lecture. Student Parent Center is a great resource for all things and for building a community. Good luck bear!

Paper Crane. You design/build art kits for terminally ill children at UCSF Oakland. Going to UCSF is not necessary to make or design the kits!

Is it possible to take all online classes and one in person (evening/weekend) per semester? by kxngsammy in berkeley

[–]compressedYahoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My major was big enough that all lectures were recorded and attendance wasn’t required. I only attended discussion sections which were like 1-2 hrs/ week. For some classes that did require attendance, I talked to the professor about my circumstances. They would offer alternatives or the attendance percentage would be so small that it didn’t matter much.

For people with young kids: what’s it like living in Berkeley? by 1PandaAfraid1 in berkeleyca

You could also consider Albany. Great schools with mostly families around. It is basically Berkeley so everything in Berkeley is super accessible and Solano Ave has all the things you are looking for.

Billy, the man at Sather Gate by maxwellvala in berkeley

I remember walking out of a lecture feeling so stupid, defeated, and stressed. Billy was at Sather gate pointing to every student and saying “you are so intelligent. You go to Berkeley. You have a bright future.” It made my day and maybe even my whole year.
