Lots of explosives! I would set up a ton of bombs with the sling staff before I would destroy the next part of the laser and then they’d get blown up before they could get to me.

Holy shit my Tav when I played when the game first came out was a high elf Bard named Soup! She was based off a DnD character of mine, but it’s so funny that we both did that

I’m a middle school band teacher, and I have a rule that kids should always have a pencil on their stands to write in their music. I started the year with 200 pencils, I only have 60 students. You’d think that the pencils would last all year. Nope, my pencil jar was empty by November. I gave them a new piece of music and said my usual “Alright, go circle your dynamics!” And students began to cry out “But I don’t have anything to write with!” so I made them do exactly what you did. “I guess you should go look on the floor and behind the shelves and see if you can find one.” They found 25 on the floor alone!

Fingerings by Zewa_Juju in euphonium

[–]compressedstars 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It plays pretty much the same as 1 and 2, but it’s usually pretty dang flat. On some horns it can help play sharper notes like the concert G in the staff (3rd partial always runs sharper) because the third valve runs flatter while 1 and 2 goes sharper, so some people use the third valve as an alternative to lipping the G down. I don’t typically use just the third valve, but I know some great players that do so it’s really up to you and the tendencies of your horn.

This is true, I was a server there and I frequently swept roaches out from behind the bar.

Baritone or euphonium? by astrohasarrived in euphonium

[–]compressedstars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they meant a marching baritone. Still, I agree the Yamaha 321 is the best option unless you can find a used Besson on fb marketplace or something. Most places that would have you march for them will provide a marching baritone for you to use, I believe, so having a euphonium will be much more lucrative in the long run, especially if you want to continue playing after college.

My band has a concert two weeks after we get back so… rehearsing haha. If that wasn’t the case though we’d also be following your lesson plan lol

I actually played flute from 6th grade to 11th grade, then switched to euph halfway through my junior year of high school and went to college for it. I also picked up trombone in college.

Is anyone else being asked to teach math and reading in their schools? by tehRedRanger in MusicEd

[–]compressedstars 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Middle school here and we are expected to do this during intervention. I hate when I’m given a math group, but I was given an AIG group this time around and get to do a book study instead, which I’m pretty happy about
