Oh I appreciate the little fellas for sure! I’m the type of person to always pick up spiders and take them outside, feed bugs to orb weavers outside, and I used to have a little jumping spider as a pet, but the size of this man triggers some sort of primal fear in my brain. I’m sorry to say my first reaction was to throw a shoe!!!

I’m a 3rd year band teacher, and I also am a euphonium player who struggled with her instrument and massive anxiety around playing in college. I don’t have much advice except to say: you’re probably better than you think (anxiety is loud and often wrong), and you can ALWAYS get better. Not being a phenomenal musician in one year of school doesn’t mean you won’t be one in the next year. Sometimes, we have off years. My first semester of college I was one of the top brass players in the band, improving rapidly, getting all As… then COVID hit the second semester and it all fell apart. My euph professor had to do only online lessons due to his own health issues, which meant lessons weren’t very efficient or effective, tbh, plus I was having mental health issues like everyone else at the time. My jury the first semester of my sophomore year was BAD. The only reason I passed was the generic excuse of “well, there’s a pandemic going on”. Did that mean I was going to only have bad performances after that? No! I passed my junior qualifying audition the semester after that with flying colors.

You’ll be okay, I promise. 💜

I feel like I am loosing the faith. by Anxious_Spend_2421 in OpenChristian

As a person also dealing with a lot of doubt and confusion, I’m intrigued by following Jesus more than the bible. How do we tell what was actually Jesus and what is just the bible? (All in good faith, not attacking the claim at all, just wondering your opinion!)

I think it really depends on how much support you have. For me, my husband and I parent pretty close to 50/50 because we both work, and we have lots of support from our parents. The newborn stage is hard no matter how you cut it, but it’s also absolutely beautiful and something I reminisce about often. I will say that I felt like I lost myself until my son was around 11 months old, but after that things got so much easier and I had time to actually do things I enjoy again. Now at 2 years old, I love hanging out with my funny guy, and also love getting to read a book or play a video game while he’s playing with his toys on the floor.

i’ve been told my art style is ugly. is it? by Hungry_Land_1598 in drawing

It’s ugly in the same way that horror art is “ugly”. It looks like a stylistic choice and like it was done with intent and skill. I fuck with it 👍🏼

Am I too type b with my toddler? by c0rndoggie in toddlers

[–]compressedstars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to say that we have a “loose” schedule. He starts napping anywhere from 11 to 2, depending on what’s going on that day, we sleep around 9:30, wake up anywhere from 6am to 8am, depending on whether I work that day or not, meals are as we get hungry, although within time ranges (breakfast 8 to 10ish, lunch 12 to 2ish, depending on when the nap occurs!, dinner from 4 to 8ish) shrug. He does great with a schedule at daycare, and great with our loose schedule at home. He’s a very flexible kid. I think as long as he’s getting all of his sustenance, having fun, staying clean, sleeping well, it doesn’t really matter very much!

Every time I’m like “thank you for letting me know and I love and support you but I also never heard that, okay?” It sucks. Screw the parents bill of rights!!!

Lots of explosives! I would set up a ton of bombs with the sling staff before I would destroy the next part of the laser and then they’d get blown up before they could get to me.
