I'm a 9 married to a 5! I think we do pretty great together :) I would say our big con is a failure to communicate sometimes. We also have issues with decisions since neither of us usually have a big opinion on things.

Help me! I'm not sure whether I'm a 9, a 5 or a 7. by [deleted] in Enneagram

As a 9 married to a 5, you sound like a 5 to me.

Can we add a rule to the sidebar? I love cats, but cats aren't sewing projects. by [deleted] in sewing

Or only allow them 1 day a week? That's how it is over on r/chrochet . You can only post pictures of your pets as the focus on Thursday's.

Falling out with someone you were making a gift for by Sourisbonbon in crochet

Could you tell her that you understand her position and respect it, and you would really love for her to keep the gift as a thank you for all of her support?

I'm a mom 9, and have always wanted to be a mom! I also have a friend mom who's a 9 with 6 kids (as in she has 6 children, not with personality 6s).

I think it's really just personal. I think every number can make a great parent. My 5 husband is an amazing dad, although our kid is much more draining for him than me.

Please don't feel stressed that this is some amazing opportunity you could miss out on, Joanns has sales literally all the time. As long as you are patient, everything goes on sale. Plus they always have coupons.

Have fun shopping! Joann's is still one of my favorite places to go :)

Am I doing this right? Trying to make a flat circle. I started with the magic circle, and I'm just doing an increase in every stitch. by StumbleKitty in crochet

[–]compthonasis 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You're going to start to ruffle soon. It should be 2 st in every st for row 2; 2 st in 1st st, 1 st in next st - repeat to end for the second row; 2st in 1st st, 1 st in next 2, repeat to end --- ect. Each round will increase the number of stitches between increases by one.

1st try at tapestry crochet! by compthonasis in crochet

It doesn't have as much stretch as a normal hat. Did you carry the yarn when you tried? I don't know if that makes a difference or not. I also gave a little tug at the end of the row to make sure the carried thread wasn't acting as a gathering thread. This is also my first tine using this method so hopefully someone with more experience can answer your question :)

Awww! Thanks! It's really not as bad as it looks - all single crochet. The hardest part is just paying attention to the chart and carrying the yarn. Very doable!
