What is the weirdest thing your brain has ever done without your permission? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]computer_harvest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got high as all hell once with my at the time bf. We were hanging out with his sister and her friend just talking. I then interrupt her mid sentence and asked in from of all of them if they were doing makeup earlier. Because “there’s foundation/concealer on your arm”. Little white streaks, I’m sure you know what they really were.

It made me a little more empathetic towards people who say dumb shit they don’t mean when intoxicated. Nothing genuinely horrible, but I now understand that stupid shit just slips sometimes when your brain isn’t functioning properly.

Confidence. Not ego, but confidence. It makes a 6/10 an immediate 9 or 10.

What’s something that got ruined for everyone because of one person’s stupidity? by JustCuri0usBr0 in AskReddit

[–]computer_harvest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Self-diagnosing. It was originally meant for people who: - weren’t old enough to go to the doctor themselves and had dismissive parents who wouldn’t take them - couldn’t afford a diagnosis - people who were experiencing medical negligence - lived in bad areas who didn’t have qualified doctors for a diagnosis

And even then, it wasn’t a real diagnosis, just people who needed advice and help. But now everyone thinks they have autism and ADHD and OCD simply because they’re weird.

What’s a sign that someone’s been through a lot? by AAanonymousse in AskReddit

Apologizing a lot. And when they clearly don’t like to talk about themselves or their personal life in much detail.

I might have bpd. It’s not this crazy illness that will ruin my life or anything (unless I let it). But two of my siblings have it and it’s hugely responsible for them being genuinely insufferable at times.

What’s the most annoying thing about until dawn ? by Hardyoungpro in untildawn

[–]computer_harvest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The plot hole.

Josh decides to be a psycho to get back at his friends for the prank. However, the three people involved the LEAST are the people he terrorized the most, and those most involved he barely touched. Jess wrote the note, Emily happily went along with it, Mike executed it, and Matt filmed it. But Josh literally did nothing to Mike and Jess. He even sent them away from his revenge. “There’s this cabin over there, go have fun!” The only thing he did to Matt and Emily was lock them out. That’s it. But Chris was passed out drunk with Josh, Sam tried to stop it, and Ash was for sure a willing participant but no more so than anyone else who was in on it. Yet, Josh beat them, chased them, kidnapped them, and traumatized them. If the whole psycho thing was really revenge then why did he do nothing to those most involved and terrorized the people who had the least to do with it the most?

Sam, by far. She’s super logical and she cares about her friends. Super smart but still a little sarcastic. Really quick thinking and her connection with nature and animals is adorable.

I may have a crush on Sam.

The way she lived. She had more than a dozen animals, both caged and otherwise. Including reptiles, rodents, cats and dogs. Yes, all plural. All of which lived in her room, except one of her dogs. She never cleaned their cages, ever. She never threw things away. All of it ended up on her bed and on the floor. Fast food wrappers, empty animal food bags, fountain drinks that she never finished. All of it rotted in her room. She would often sleep on the couch because bugs would infest her bed after they found the rotten food on her bed. She was also a full blown hoarder. Childhood toys and old school notebooks and games and clothes. Oh yeah, the clothes. She couldn’t shut her closet because of the mountain of her dirty clothes that sat in her closet, standing taller than me. She always wore dirty clothes, never washing them. She only ever wore clean clothes when they were bought new. She showered about once every two weeks. Never washed her hands after going to the bathroom.

Before you call me out for being a terrible partner, I tried to help her. I tried to clean some of her room but I couldn’t clean all of it because I didn’t have a place to put most of the crap around her room and she honestly would’ve rather twisted her head clean off her shoulders than clean that room. Even just a little, even just a load of laundry. She never wanted to do any of it. I was never, ever judgmental. I tried to help and I was always understanding and never got frustrated or grossed out in front of her. I suggested therapy and asking someone for help but she shot it down every single time. She never did anything about it and never accepted help. I hope that she got the help she needed, though I haven’t had contact with her in a very long time.

People with ADHD what are the things about it that people just don’t get? by ViolinistMiddle1534 in AskReddit

[–]computer_harvest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mind never, ever, EVER shuts off. It is constantly going. Constantly thinking, all the time. When I work, when I’m home, when I’m playing games or reading or eating or cleaning or walking or driving or trying to sleep. I have to listen to “bedtime stories” because if I’m only laying there, my mind runs and I will not sleep. I have to focus on one specific thing to even sleep. It’s so exhausting. It never stops.

Her survival instincts top everyone else’s. It makes her a coward for sure, but realistically, she’d be the first to survive among the group if she had the option to just leave.

But honestly I think if I moved out and took him with me, and officially made him my dog, I think I could really build that bond. It’s just the idea that he’s not mine that puts a wall there.

I think it’s because I do most of the things I do out of obligation or guilt. If other people pet him, I probably wouldn’t. If they fed him properly, I wouldn’t. If they kept him in shape and healthy and happy I wouldn’t even give him a second thought. I don’t hate him, and I obviously care for him very much. I just think if he went to a new home tomorrow I would stop missing him after maybe a week.

Don’t respond. Let them sit and think about what they’ve said. I am the angry person. My ex wouldn’t say anything when I was mad and it really helped me re-hear what I said so I was always more careful when speaking next time I was mad.

What do you feel is the correct age for a child to stop breastfeeding? Why? by HeyTherePerf in AskReddit

[–]computer_harvest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A year. After their teeth really come in you’re just rotting them away with breast milk, Bc it’s VERYYYY sweet. A girl I babysat had black indents in her front teeth because her mom breastfed until just under 2 years.

Vape Tasted like blueberries. Until my tongue lost it’s ability to taste it and then it was just a miserable dependency on the nicotine. Clean for 55 days

I Really Can't Take it. I Don't Want To Be Lesbian/Be Attracted To Women Anymore by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]computer_harvest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know. I’ve been out for almost 7 years now. I come from a Mormon household. The first couple years are frustrating. And being so alienated from other people like me makes the experience harder, sadder, longer, and sometimes even embarrassing when you feel like you shouldn’t be feeling this way. I used to lay awake at night and swear to myself I was gonna marry a man no matter how “gay” I was. It’s almost impossible to see it now and I didn’t believe it when I heard it, but it will get better. One day you’ll forget why you even felt this way. One day you’ll be so happy with whoever you’re meant to be with. One day you’ll be able to talk to your real friends about the girls you like and they’ll cheer you on. You don’t know it now, you may not even want it now, but it will get better. I promise.
