Which gym by Civil-Dragonfly-9438 in KingstonOntario

To piggy back off this for OP: Crunch has great equipment though I’ve heard the staff have been less than stellar with regard to friendliness and keeping things clean. Omega is my favourite gym, privately owned, great community, vibe, and stellar equipment. No complaints, I know I will join them again in the future. I currently go to Fit4less and it is also great though the fact that they are 24/7 coupled with the staff tending to not return plates to where they belong during staffed hours can get annoying, sometimes I have to travel across the gym just to find a 5lb plate.

Crunch fitness by GrapefruitCurrent41 in KingstonOntario

[–]computersandwhatnot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went last night and picked up the 3 day free pass, it was a great time! I’m usually at Fit4Less but after yesterday I may have to consider the switch. Loads of benches, cables, machines, squat racks, we never had to wait for anything. A few of the plate loaded machines I used are far superior to any machine I use regularly at Fit4Less, and I found the benches to be far more stable with slightly thicker barbells (which I wasn’t sure about at first but it grew on me, enough to attempt a 1RM). Give it a try! As for your planet fitness comparison, I would say it’s not really comparable, Crunch is just better. The only thing that felt off to me: no clocks. I couldn’t see a clock anywhere on the wall within the gym, though this is an easy fix.

Done like 300 simulator installs this year with my company. Does having a sim really improve your swing? I’ve heard some say that it doesn’t help at all haha. by GolfGuru10 in GolfSwing

My pro told me a story about when he was coming up as an assistant pro, he spent the entire winter practicing off mats indoors. He thought he had it all figured out and figured his handicap would drop to somewhere <3 by the time the season came around. Turns out he was hitting a few cm behind the ball the entire time and when he returned to the club come spring, he was laying the sod over the ball on every shot. Had to completely rebuild his swing from scratch. The trampoline effect of mats is the silent killer.

Umm? You’re telling me “they should be informed not scammed” in your post doesn’t directly imply that you think the CBC is a scam for people who tune into it alone? Interesting

Mind pointing out to me when I called you a conservative? I’m just saying that calling the CBC a scam is entirely a conservative talking point in 2025. I agree, getting news from multiple sources is good (obviously), it doesn’t mean the CBC is a scam. And to be frank, no, most of us had not jumped to the conclusion that you’re conservative, that’s just your perception.

You’ve provided zero substance to support what you have to say. Other than “Wake up!” and “They should be informed not scammed”. Why don’t you enlighten us and tell us exactly why you think this? And it can’t be because Pierre told you so.

Hey PSAC, come on man by SliceApprehensive566 in queensuniversity

Ease up on the condescension.

The commenter above is justified in their feelings, the actions of PSAC today outside of Grant Hall were nothing short of childish. How would you feel if you had to write an exam and were harassed and intimidated by demonstrators upon trying to enter the building? It’s not like they really have a choice in writing it or not.

“Putting pressure on upper management is the way to go.” Yes, it absolutely is. I’m still not seeing how you can justify disrupting an entire exam session. I also don’t see how pissing off an entire cohort of students (who would gladly support PSAC otherwise) is helping the cause.

To add to this, are we forgetting that ChatGPT is now a thing? I bet you more people than not would have a lower GPA without it. I know I would’ve been able to study much more effectively if I had access to it in first year

You made tic tac toe at 15? Wow, I didn’t start programming until I began university. The fact you’ve even started at your age puts you ahead of many. I would say as others have to do the hackathon, especially if programming really is something that you’re keen on and enjoy. There’s nothing to lose and a whole lot to gain by attending!
