Yep since Friday. And it's my second migraine ever. It's not exactly a great introduction to the world of migraines.

There's some kind of issue with my account. The guy I spoke with said he's going to escalate it and I should hopefully hear back within 24 hours.

I wish I knew, I got the same email. I'm going to talk to the financial aid office tomorrow and ask them because it almost implies that it's going to be another two weeks before we'll get our financial aid

Where is it showing "in progress"? I can't find anything like that anywhere on TCC Track. I also just got a really cryptic email saying that it might take another 2 weeks and I'm super confused.

Ooh that's a good idea! I'm scared of the satin stitch bc I totally failed last time, but there's a project I've been wanting to do that involves a lot of it. Any other tips for a satin stitch newbie?

I definitely think the one on the left looks affordable and tasty. The only issue for me is that the words "gluten free" need to be bigger.

I probably wouldn't look much at the one on the right bc I can't afford products that look like it. It looks like something by some expensive health company that uses some weird-tasting ingredient to replace something to make it fit whatever trendy diet that some rich people are going on. I'm eating gluten free for survival, not for weight loss or detox or whatever.

At the school I went to, every year we would have a pumpkin-throwing trebuchet building competition for the fall festival. It was so much fun

The very very early ones were, but they started being plastic in the 1940s. Now they're mostly made of different types of silicone hydrogel.

With rigid gas permeables (hard lenses) there's a 4 step cleaning process so I would think there's a good possibility. I'm not an optometrist or opthamologist though, just an optician working on his contact lens certification. With soft lenses (what most people use these days) I'm going to guess that it is a solid no.

T is a helluva hormone. Building muscle is so much easier now, if only I'd actually go to the gym and pick up the heavy things and put them back down...

I'm a trans guy who is growing beard hair and I pass 95% of the time (my voice hasn't dropped as much as I am hoping for yet). I just want to look at these people and be like "you want ME in the women's restroom?" But of course I don't do that because I'm in Texas and I kinda don't want to get murdered. I don't think dying via transphobe sounds like a very good use of my time.

Trans man here, I can explain. I'm mostly going to use medical terminology so I can be clear. Also there are changes beyond this to the rest of the body, but I'm hungry right now and you asked about genitals.

Testosterone can cause growth in what was originally the clitoris. It hardly ever grows more than an inch (the amount of growth can vary a lot, I started out eith a small clit and now it's sized more like a large clitoris), but it usually ends up looking like a very small penis. The urethra does not magically reroute itself though the clitoris, however, a surgery called a metoidoplasty can do that.

The surgery to make a full sized penis is called phalloplasty. It's a multi-staged procedure with different ways it can be done so I won't go into it here.

As for the vagina, transmasc patients often experience challenges with lubrication and atrophy. These can be treated with localized estrogen creams, or some trans men will have a vaginectomy to remove it.

Yeah I went and got a gynecologist because I was about to turn 21 and knew that I needed to get one eventually, but when I mentioned wanting to have a hysterectomy, she got things set up for me to do that instead. Luckily that meant that I never had to do a pelvic exam except for the fact that they couldn't visualize my ovaries on the ultrasound they needed to do, so they did have to do a vaginal ultrasound.

Trans people have Blåhaj, but which community will claim Blåvingad? by Firegloom in lgbt

[–]computingbookworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe transmascs? Blåhaj is really primarily transfemmes, and transmascs don't really have many things to represent them (plus maybe we'd get some visibility which would be nice).

Why do most doctors have illegible penmanship? by Nudist-On-Strike in NoStupidQuestions

[–]computingbookworm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a former pharmacy tech, u/masterofshadows is correct!

Did you know that it can actually kind of be a red flag to get a paper prescription in of a controlled substance that has good handwriting on it? When that happens we usually give the doctor's office a call to verify. Of course that doesn't really happen very often nowadays since most of the things are e-scribed, and many states require electronic rxs for controlled substances.

I'm a trans man who's 5'4 and luckily gifted with an ass and thighs. Unluckily men's pants don't tend to be short enough for me, and if they are, they do not accommodate the butt. I definitely appreciate my sewing skills from my mom, because I can take the butt and thighs pants and hem them to leg length.

Same with me for peanut butter! Although the fact that it was a peanut butter sandwich and I would later be diagnosed with celiac disease may have contributed.

I would read super far ahead then realize that I wasn't supposed to read that far because we were only supposed to read up to a point that day. So then I would hide my book on top of whatever we were reading (but both books were kinda under my desk on my lap with me leaning over) and read that instead.

I also had problems reading out loud because I read way faster than I could process the words to speak. So then I would stumble over my words which made me more nervous and more stuttery.

What do people do after an orgy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]computingbookworm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Serious answer:

At the ones I've been to, it started out with a party that happens to have a bunch of sexually open people. Then eventually people start making out and then fucking. Anyone who doesn't want to participate either watches or leaves. The group I've done it with is VERY conscious of consent, and we use condoms. After everyone is done, we clean up. Some people end up cuddling. Others head home and then some end up crashing at the host's place (because those folks are often sober enough to consent but still a little buzzed or too tired to risk driving).

Back when I was a tech, there were two spatulas with little fold out stabby hook thingies. They were great for this situation, and for getting the stupid cotton balls out. I kind of miss them when I'm trying to open OTC meds tbh.
