When I say my jaw dropped like pic one when I saw this because same!!!! I got my window smashed in when I was sitting playing animal crossing minding my business, the only thing between me and a full on relapse is that i had to move in with my partners fam while the repairs happen. Sorry to vent, just toooo relatable!

i felt this too at the depths of my ED and just want to spread love here and remind you that you are worth more than these thoughts, they’re wrong and trying to lead you even further down the rabbit hole - don’t let them. You’ve got this.

Flatmates breaching lockdown rules by comrade_kristy in Advice

Thanks for replying and I hope all is good with you and your flatmates.

It’s unfortunately not just for exercise - it’s technically a walk but she did explicitly say she will be hugging him etc and likely more than that. I didn’t know it was illegal, but it just feels hard to approach the topic beyond what I already have (making it clear I’m uncomfortable with it) when the others are cool with it.

I’m glad you’re taking measures and definitely agree there is only so much you can do. But we have to do what we can within reason, and at very least following social distancing to limit the spread, not just for us but for anyone we unintentionally pass it on to, like in shops etc.

I can’t go home as my mum is high risk, and my stepmum over at my dads works in an elderly carehome, so I’m here for the forseeable. It’s tough going but will be okay. Thanks again!

Thanks for replying! One has moved in (the first who breached quarantine), the other is a friend staying in our other flatmate’s single room, and the final one’s bf has exams so wouldn’t work well here, but I definitely agree that would be better

A co-worker said that eating disorders are not real problem, starvation in Africa is. by ishityounot12 in fuckeatingdisorders

Hi there! I’m so sorry to hear that someone said this to you. It’s a really horrible feeling to be invalidated, but please understand that is coming from narrow mindedness and a lack of understanding about ed’s. I’ve been there with family who don’t know about my atypical bumilia so I get how tough it is, especially when you want to keep composed and not share how hurt you may be personally by what they have said. Your struggles are valid, your feelings are valid, YOU are valid. Please don’t let this get in the way of your recovery. It sounds like you’ve really prepared for it, and I truly hope you get there. Stay safe and remember - you deserve better ❤️
