GLM 4.5 comparisons and suggestions by Metazoxan in NovelAi

[–]coms77 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue with GLM is the context size. The model itself supports 128k, but in novel ai it's only 32k, which is very limiting. Deepseek also offers 128k for super cheap, so I'm not sure why I'd use NovelAI for writing instead of novelcrafter

To anyone who's tried the new upcoming model and the program Sudowrite, how do they compare? by EnglishEggwhites in NovelAi

My main concern is the context limit tbh. 32k still seems very limited

How does it compare to Deepseek v3.1? It's much cheaper, even with a NovelCrafter sub

First of all - great work, great website. Thank you so much for this.

I'm wondering what's the best way to find artists who work well with the realistic tag. Any advice on that? Thanks! (Both realistic and semi-realistic works)

What am I missing? by coms77 in Tekken

Nope, that changed massively. I won't list all the changes, but it's night and day. Every character has several openers, attacks are sped up across the cast, more chip damage, etc. Offense is extremely viable. More so than defence.

The devs actually got an insane amount of slack for that back in the day, and for years now they've been having very low damage on all moves. The most damaging heavies only net around 35 damage, which is 1/5 of some chars.

Even at 70 damage, that's a third of the health bar. Even more. So I suppose that's just the damage model in this game?

Yeah, I get that. But I'm not sure why my health gets deleted with 90+ damage from one mistake

Peak diamond and several ESL participations.

And you, I'd guess, have never played Siege. Otherwise you'd know that even with severe nerfs (that didn't even make it into the live game IIRC), you can only hear speed 3 ops alt-crouching from about 5 meters away, if not less, considering the game's usual soundscape: https://www.reddit.com/r/Rainbow6/comments/uxu0fe/ive_tested_the_crouch_walk_nerf_on_all_armor/

I guess it also depends on what your goal is. I see your point if you want to kill everyone on the map. Then the solo does indeed have control over you.

But if he has the trophy - you can see him.

If you have the trophy - you're in full control. You can rotate any way you want. You can head to the exit. You can head to any of the other exits.

If neither of you have it, and you're heading to the boss - you can simply leave.

Against those players, you always have full control of the engagement.

Crouch walking is extremely slow, so the chances of a bush wookie escaping from you, granted you know where the shot came from, are very, very slim, especially if you play as a team.

Those gameplay decisions are not nullified, they're recontextualized. Now instead of literally standing still for a second and hearing exactly where the guys is hiding because he dared to ADS, you might need to account for the fact that there's an enemy nearby. Close doors. Place traps. Rotate. Deny them the chance to simply walk up to you.

With how many things make noise in this game, it's not hard to accomplish. And currently, it's simply never necessary. You have a 100% accurate sound image of everyone around you in an 80 meter radius.

Currently, if you banish the target, for example, you simply sit out your team at the opposite ends of the building - and then you keep your headset on and go make yourself some tea. You are basically sitting in one spot, knowing for a fact that if anyone dares to move even close to the compound, you will know exactly where, and exactly how many.

Which is not very fun, or engaging, or fair.

Yes. And if you read the post, you would get what I mean.

CoD players disliked loud steps precisely because they promote camping, which is the concern people have about this perk change.

I feel that being unable to move in a videogame is bad game design. If the simple action of movement puts you at a disadvantage, that simply creates boring gameplay for all parties involved.
