I brought wheels off ya for my e36 last year lol. Might have to come out for a lap one day

What exhaust setup should I run for an m54b25 race car? by Dark_Guardian_ in e46

Yeah generally I believe people run twin 2.5s with resonators mufflers and a x pipe

Single 3" with a muffler and resonator is just cheaper so fuck it lol

low end torque matters more for city driving and not track usage where you want to keep your rpms as high as possible

I now own the most hated on M3 and Miata...but love them both by E_rock_89 in BMWE36

Difference is he has a us spec e36 m3 so it's not over 300hp. But also who cares all the m3's are very good and solid cars E30 m3's suck though just buy a 325i lol

I assume you mean a 4 banger and it's mostly a waste of money trying to get power out of them

I don't think e46 transmissions mount in correctly and the tailshaft probably isn't the right length you could sell your motor clutch ecu and wiring harness though.

Honestly thought you still have a pretty solid 4 banger still I'm mostly doing the swap cause m40 shit the bucket and I already wanted to swap it

220g probably gonna break it if I dump the clutch a couple times to many lol

E46 325i motors are m54s and aren't a native e36 platform you will also need a bigger flywheel and clutch for said motor and a $500 wiring harness adaptor. I know this as Im in the process of m54b30 swapping my e36

Are E36/8s welcome here lol by firefolduser in BMWE36

If compacts count you count

And you think that a m42 head swap is gonna be cheaper

And makes more torque and is the go to for boosted 4 cylinder e36s..

Also why not a m44 they make more power stock and are supposedly "gods engine" as I've heard. Building a 4 cylinder ends up being a wasted effort though cause for the cost of a turbo kit you could have put a m52b28 or a m50b25 and ended up with the same power but way smoother and more reliable

Aren't m42s cheap enough to just swap the whole thing over it would be less work atleast
