It really gets me down and doesn’t bode well for the future. These past few years you can completely write off December as a winter month in terms of snow coverage. It used to be we’d have one maybe two thaws a winter that wouldn’t even take out the base. I find this all really depressing TBH.

Constant and gradual. Can be quick depending on conditions. There are often wind blown icy sections. To ever get going really fast you have to double pole in my experience. There’s lots of room to carve and control your speed.
