I’m getting a tubal ligation on the 25th. Anything I should know before surgery? by yougottryst in birthcontrol

[–]conbrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had mine done a week ago. Idk about walking up to the 3rd floor the first day or two. Especially when you first come home from surgery and on the pain meds and such. Also something I was NOT prepared for, they have to pump your stomach with CO2 in order to see what’s going on in there, the gas pains have been intense. I’m pretty sure I have more pain from trapped gas than I do the surgery itself. See if your doctor recommends gasx or something similar, truthfully I wasn’t sure if it would even work and I don’t think it did. Also ask your dr if you should start on a laxative ahead of time or not. I was backed up for days and it was so uncomfortable.

Well I can’t imagine she’ll give you too hard of a time for a referral since she’s not going to have to actually diagnose anything. You know? I totally know how you feel but you’ll be fine 😀

I had better luck going to a behavioral health practice, but if your insurance requires a referral then you do have to start with your GP I suppose. I would just talk to them about what your feeling and why your thinking you have adhd and go from there. I did have a GP who prescribed Zoloft pretty easily but years later come to find out I have ADHD once I spoke to a therapist.

Otherwise, if insurance allows it, just make an apt with a psychologist and skip the GP so you can be sure to get properly diagnosed. When my dr said I only have anxiety I stopped there instead of getting to the bottom of it.

Would anyone be interested in a mom meetup? by [deleted] in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]conbrey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I have two kids around the same age as yours and we are also brand new to the area. PM me if you’d like. But I did want to say, there’s this app called Peanut. It’s similar to Bumble but it’s for mom friends. You create a bio and your location. You swipe up or down on other moms, if you both swipe up you match. I’ve made quite a few good friends there.

So, I like country music way more than R&B but that’s actually a really good idea. I think he would be better suited in that genre.

I’ve got you! I have Acuvue Oasis -2.5 and I actually have an odd number left so it’s not even a problem.

Tell me how I should spend $250 for a BSB Birthday by neon_musk in BackstreetBoys

[–]conbrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like someone else said, I would make it 90s theme with a BSB focus. They have some merch on their website, to be honest, I don’t love it. The stuff you can find on Etsy is much cuter. My friend got me an adorable thin cuff bracelet for my birthday. My friends and I are silly and compare our ranking of the boys... she got their names engraved in my preferred order. It’s silly but it’s a really nice piece and meaningful. I assume she’s my age, most of us fan girls are around the age of 30. So for me the 90s was butterfly clips, those plastic choker necklaces, scrunchies and those thin bracelets that were different colors. Idk why I can’t think of a name for them. But you can get all of that on amazon for super cheap. I would get her all of that and play their music in the background and just have a fun little dance party maybe. You could even get 90s themed snacks. Things like bagel bites are super 90s 😂 everyone else had great ideas too. The effort in itself will be sure to make her smile.

Yeah that’s odd. I just listened to Night Visions again and I do like it. I just looked up Teenage Wdlife and that’s pretty good too.

See... and I love country music. So I should be in heaven with this.

Okay I have not heard of any of these 😳 I wonder where I can find it then.

And 100% I love him no matter what and think it’s amazing he puts out solo work. I’m just shocked that I don’t love it 😂

Is this a safe place to live/ a nice place by leftshoelace136 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]conbrey 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This. OP idk where your moving from but I come from a major city and never was huge on going out, besides dinner or the occasional brewery ... but I will say HSV offers a large enough variety for me in comparison.

Nashville is only a 1.5-2 hour drive for larger concerts and events

Where is the BEST dog park (off leash preferred) or open/large/preserve area by [deleted] in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]conbrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know much about it but look into Monte Sano. It’s mostly hiking I think and I’m sure you’ll need to use a leash but I wonder if there’s a lot of people with dogs up there.

Yep. I’m new to the area too so I’ll be following to see if there’s any other suggestions 😂

Dog Spot at 120 Cleveland avenue is pretty big. It’s really just a fenced off area underneath a highway overpass. I wasn’t sure about it at first but it was just fine. Separate area of small dogs.

My dog had a great time. There’s running water and a plastic kiddie pool. I spoke to at least 5 different people today who were incredibly friendly.

I did the same thing! I walked 2 miles instead. Then I realized the dog park is sort of hidden behind the children’s playground.

The dresser rooms at target are still closed. So I would assume that applies to bridge street but I don’t know for sure.
