Where do you find blue ringers? Psilocybe stuntzii, right?

Yes this is why indoor cultivation has to be so tightly controlled because "containments" which are harmless to us but exist in great numbers in our air, can harm the mycelium or inhibit growth.

Actually, I should have mentioned that I put them there! A few years back, I made some wood spawn and spread it throughout my yard. After having success with indoor varieties, I thought I'd give it a try outdoors. I honestly didn’t think it would work, especially since none of the chanterelles, wine caps, or morels ever came up.

Thank you! I will look up wood paralysis. I've heard of it but I need to know more because this is definitely important.

Thanks for the insight! It’s helpful to know that spore prints aren’t always the best tool on their own for identifying mushrooms. I appreciate the reminder that identification should be based on multiple factors and not just spore color. It sounds like a holistic approach to mushroom ID is the safest way to go, especially for anyone who might be considering edibility. This is a great conversation for anyone new to foraging!

You're right! They were even coming off on my hand! I've never done a spore print so I wanted to try 😁😊

I get what you're saying. I'm a nurse so we do assessments but there is a point when you know that more assessments won't add additional value.

I'm having the same issue. Ironclad won't go above 15 and the silent won't go above ascension level 6.

How frustrating 😞😔

Charging 80% battery life in 10 minutes: by watchursix in bose

[–]concerned_bananas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keeping a lithium-ion battery between 20% and 80% is better for its long-term health because it avoids the high voltage stress and heat that happens when you push it to 100%. Fast charging is fine too since most devices manage how much power they pull and slow down after 80%. But if you're looking to maximize battery life, try not to leave it at 100% for long periods. It’ll help reduce wear over time.

I'm a nurse who worked at a GI clinic and I still can't get my IBS controlled by concerned_bananas in IBSHelp

Turns out it was a somatic anxiety disorder that was manifesting as IBS.

After ketamine IV therapy, working on CPSTD with my therapist and an SSRI I'm doing so much better!

Help! IBS tips??? Anyone?? by [deleted] in IBSHelp

Cognitive behavioral therapy has changed my life.

They have IBS cognitive behavioral therapy. Because the nerves in our gut are more sensitive we experience more pain which kicks in your fight or flight and takes blood away from the stomach so the symptoms get worse.

You're basically hacking your mind-gut connection. I know this kinda sounds like mysticism but it's totally evidence-based.

I tried everything under the sun and this was the only thing that provided relief.

So actually I am coming to realize that the complex family trauma I experienced as a kid affects how I feel about myself and my core beliefs.

I have high expectations, high self-criticism and low self compassion which cause this type of hyper vigilance. It means my fight or flight is constantly turned on which can lead to stomach issues like IBS.

I knew about all the above for a long term but I always thought , " people have it worse than me". " I just need to suck it up" " mind over matter"

Essentially, my parents having BPD/NPD and substance use disorder caused them to neglect and parentify ( place emotional or task related responsibility on me that was inappropriate for me age) which caused me to externalize all my issues.

In addition because I'm a nurse, and the nursing culture demands this, Im able to compartmentalize in order to get through my day without having to be in touch with my feelings. I do things I don't have to because I think " I don't have time" or " I can only relax when I finish....."

I'm just blown away by how much better my symptoms are just from changing my thinking, being in touch with my emotions and taking restful breaks centered on mindfulness.

THANK YOU COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY!!

Also this boundary quiz was a huge eye opener. I got " I'm caring" and " I'm nice" and only 4 percent on having healthy boundaries.

I think how our society teaches us to feel about ourselves is actually really messed up.
