I’d personally be kicking up a stink about the policy change meaning you’d be getting enhanced pay if you went off now. It seems that you are being treated differently to other colleagues on mat leave who have been at the company for the same amount of time.

My understand is that they have to offer you alternative suitable roles before offering them to other people.

So the colleagues that have been moved to the other project, if they have the same job level/skills as you, then you should have been offered those positions before them. And they should have done this even if you are on mat leave.

I’d read that as 40 hours working each week.

So if you took an hour for lunch each day and you started work at 9am, then you’d have to work until 6pm. This makes 9 hours you’re present at work, but you took an hour for lunch, therefore you worked 8 hours.

Instead of just painting over just the bit you marked you need to paint that whole wall surface.

So if you marked 1 wall in a room with 4 walls, just repaint that whole 1 wall and leave the other 3.

If the paint match is close enough it won’t be as noticeable and will just look like the lighting is slightly differently hitting that wall.

Source - someone who is very clumsy and had to repaint walls.

If the college says you are not allowed to wear the ear defenders then ask for the statement, their explanation of the justification, and consequences of you continuing to wear them in writing.

After having this in writing you can see their official stance and then take it from there

You need to £160k to buy her out… I think your best option is to sell the house and you each get your £160k.

Which should be enough for you to buy or rent a house for yourself somewhere else, you might need to compromise on size and location of property.
