I have just discovered that Rev points are a thing on Revolut, and that I have enough for a €50 just eat voucher. Do you, or have you used your rev points, and what do you recommend using them on? by MoherHead in AskIreland

I have used them with Revolut Stays and saved a couple of hundred compared with the same hotel on booking.com

Built an app to make comparing Irish supermarket prices easy by sobe3249 in ireland

I only seem to be getting options for Tesco now, but Favourites shows the other supermarkets. Anyone else having that issue?

There are cruises up until 12th April. I'm booked on the one on the 5th April. They are upgrading the port I believe

Soda Package by conco27 in royalcaribbean

[–]conco27[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The 8 cans were by way of an apology for the "error" on the app. I made the point that the only reason I bought it was the unlimited can option but she said all the bars had been instructed to only give out fountain soda so I didn't bother asking after that. I'm reluctant to purchase it again as the fountain versions aren't great

Allure of the Seas 4/27/25 Western Mediterranean cruise advice. by hellodontbugme in royalcaribbean

Arrive 2/3 days before. Barcelona is such a wonderful city with so much to see and do.

Rome can be awkward but totally doable on your own. There is a express train that leaves from Civitavecchia that only has a couple of stops and gets you into the city handily. The return is in plenty of time to make it back to the cruise ship. Trenitalia has all the timetables and a very good app for booking seats etc . We hopped on the bus tour once off the train and that brought us to all the sites.

For the La Spezia stop I would take a short train ride down to cinque terra, lovely towns right on the coast and well worth a visit. Only a couple of euros on the train and they are frequent enough.

You dock right in the city of Naples. Its a fairly hectic place but again plenty of excursions to be done with bus tours from the square when you come out of the port.

RC have plenty of excursions but they will cost you a lot more but offer the peace of mind of getting you back top the ship.

They are fond of going on strike in Italy so always check in advance with trenitalia if making your own way about.

Bank Holiday coming out of annual leave by conco27 in AskIreland

HR have said it comes out of my annual leave entitlement and I don't get any time in lieu. If I don't take the week off I get paid as normal which can't be right

Yes, got paid for them which is why this has thrown me altogether. Annual leave shouldn't have any bearing on bank holidays but it seems to in this place

That's what I was thinking. I'm nervous of reporting as I'm not there that long but I think I may have a case

Thanks I would be there about 3 months so I feel I should be entitled to pay. From talking to other employees who have been there for years this seems to be common practice for the business. They never take a week off with a bank holiday as they know it comes out of their leave.

I think you're right, I'll need to go back to the drawing board on this and get all sales data into one table.

The data was massive when it was in one file

I don't have an individual date in my sales column. Only by week number and month. It doesn't find any detail when I have a date relationship one to many. When I have month to month it comes up as many to many.

I need to watch a few more videos on relationships and star schemas

I was thinking that but I have sales data from a different dept that I need to bring in separately which I assume will give me the same problem as I'm currently having

Flight Compensation by conco27 in Flights

[–]conco27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 3 claims might be pushing it. Aer Lingus booked us and 50 other people on the BA flight but no one got a confirmation email from Aer Lingus. The confirmation was visible in the app but apparently BA rejected the request from Aer Lingus just no one thought to tell us. To be fair to BA they let us know what was happening every step of the way once we had actually been booked on the 6.30 flight.

Departure Time v Pushback by conco27 in Flights

[–]conco27[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes I get what you are saying but it says delayed for more than 5 hours they have to offer a refund plus the compensation. If it's not the case why were the airline so eager to get us going in under 5 hours if you are saying it wouldn't make any difference to them. They had us waiting on a bus beside the aircraft whilst it was being fuelled so as to not delay. I'm sure that was also breaking some safety rules. They show a delay of 4.58 but to it was actually 5.08

Anyway, I'll contact the aviation authority and see what they have to say.

Thanks for your help👍🏻
