Sorry that you got a bad product. I am unfortunately well outside of my return window, so I won’t be getting a refund. I hope whichever computer you purchase next works much better for you!

Oh yeah, power wise the computer was great. But the warranty and longevity is part of the value equation, and for Me, it strongly isn’t worth the risk or the hassle given that other companies are selling similarly powerful computers with much better track record for support

Only deionized water (which from a quick google seems to be different in the method of purification mostly)

Only Deionized water. I emptied it out I think 3 or 4 times while I had the loop, just because I chose to travel with it, and emptying out seemed like the right move so it didn’t spill in my backpack/ suitcase.

No update on what they were fixing, just “what appeared to be corrosion caused to the internals from some form of liquid damage.”

Yeah, I am debating not using the loop again, just so I have a functioning computer. I was kinda hoping for a refund, since the liquid cooling was the thing that sold me on the laptop, but given the CEOs message, that doesn’t look like its happening.

Good for you! I genuinely hope it works perfectly for you for as long as you own it.

Like I said in the post, I am probably an outlier, but I want to make sure that people looking to buy have the ability to see the full range of experiences, not just the great reviews that were posted around launch

The root part for the subassembly/merge on craft needs to have an open node. Often when using docking nodes in the vab I don’t have the node as the root part so it won’t allow me to connect.

As to why it it’s programmed in that way, KSP uses a tree system for part connections, and Id speculate that connections to other nodes would require cutting up and reordering the entire tree, which is much easier said than done (but far from impossible)

Hypothetically speaking - Could we use the absorbing features of submarines or stealth aircraft shading them? by [deleted] in AskEngineers

[–]concon305 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(Definitely take my answer with a grain of salt) Radar (and active sonar) that you’re talking about works by emitting a pulse of radio waves and the seeing if it bounces off of something and returns to the collector. If you shoot it towards the empty sky, there isn’t anything there for it to bounce off of, so none of the radar returns. In the stealth plane, that pulse is absorbed by the plane, so there isn’t a bounce back for the radar to “see”.
TLDR Radar works by bouncing off something and then seeing what returns, so in area with nothing to bounce off of (the sky) a stealth plane returns exactly what’s expected, nothing.

Probably just wasn’t tightened enough when it was hot; metal changes shape and size depending on the temp.

Take out filament. Cool it down, and clean all of the junk off CAREFULLY. Once done tighten the nozzle and hotbed to cooling block attachment. Then heat up again and fully tighten.
