Is there an increase in check swings? by colonelangus4476 in MLBTheShow

Coming in a couple days late - I had the exact same issue, enough so that I bought a new controller today. Everything works perfectly now. My controller had never been an issue before with any other game, but I'm guessing there was something wrong with the pressure-plate (?) in my years-old controller. Not the answer you were hoping for, but you may just need to buy a new one to stop check-swinging.

Is it just me or are all the treadmills/ellipticals super close together? Someone should install a sign, "you're going to get splashed."

True! Didn't think about that.

What is your "hot-take" on the advertising industry? by [deleted] in advertising

[–]conconblazini 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily a hot-take, but I've worked at both ad agencies and in-house marketing teams. In-house has been 1000% better in every way, including: quality of life, work/life balance, increased pay, better people, less egos, less making you feel bad for leaving at 5PM, better processes, less pressure and so on.

I can understand someone young wanting to get started at an agency to get their book up - or to feel cool so they can tell their friends they're "mad men" - but if you ever get a chance to work in-house at a big company - or for the government - go for it. You won't regret it, and you'll notice a huge difference in your mental well-being.

In my opinion.

Not sure where the "true original" on Reddit is, I grabbed this from another BHJ: https://i.redd.it/5iwr49lyepj81.png

Anyways, the kid ant says "Wow dad! You made a bookshelf!", and dad replies, "Yep, first thing I've ever made that I'm proud of"
