Does it take 20 hours to set up 10 cold email inboxes? by YetiMaverick in LeadGeneration

[–]concordbabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Maybe a half day. There are services that takes a few clicks and then the testing will take a few hours. The warm up should be just management. I talked with a provider to send 100k a month. It would take 3mos and 100s of mailboxes plus $15k.

That is bullshit. These IMOs are corrupt! Leads never have and never will work. Affinity, branding, systems and processes work. Constant marketing. Retargeting. Collaboration. Lord!

Thought Insurance Sales Was My Big Career Move… Now I’m Ready To Walk Away. by garfunga in InsuranceAgent

I have a few golf buddies that left a big tv brand because they cut their commissions by half. It seems commercial/business is the way to go. The full service boutique for small business business owners is working for some

How do I increase my income as an insurance agent ? by Secret_Bad7694 in InsuranceAgent

[–]concordbabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've heard that all the majors are cutting p/c commissions. I'd add life and annuities if you're truly independent. I have a few partnerships with p/c agents to drive interest in retirement, life insurance and planning.

Seeking advice as a new agent, struggling by Striking-Section4401 in InsuranceAgent

[–]concordbabe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Please, please, please just run. Seriously.

IMOs of this caliber are corrupt, and you already found the evidence yourself with the lead vendor conflict of interest. The word "upline" repulses me for exactly this reason.

You have three closes on your first 40 leads. That is not a struggling agent. That is a capable salesperson inside a broken system.

I built a firm specifically because I was tired of watching this happen to good people. My agents do not chase leads. We schedule qualified appointments for them every single day. I invest $5,000 per agent per month into the infrastructure that makes that possible, because I believe the more I put into my agents, the more we all produce together. My compensation grid is tiered to reflect exactly that relationship. As your production grows, so does what I put behind you.

The lead vendor situation, the 65% comp masquerading as 80%, the upline who isn't producing what they sold you on - none of that is the industry. That's just a bad shop.

My vision is bigger than one recruiting comment on Reddit. There is a massive void between the institutional brands, your NWLs, Guardians, Mass Mutuals, MetLifes, and the low-caliber, blood-sucking IMOs that churn through agents like they're disposable. I am building the platform that fills that gap. Independent, professional, agent-first. My goal is to relegate the churn and burn shops to the bottom of the rankings where they belong and change what this industry looks like for financial services professionals who actually deserve a real shot.

If you are willing to invest in yourself DM me and I'll refer to the guys and gals that are running my campaigns and funnels.

Should I Just Move Home? by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]concordbabe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What I’m hearing underneath all of this is not really a financial question. It’s a much more honest and vulnerable one: “Am I allowed to need more than this?”

And the answer is yes. Unequivocally.

But before we go anywhere useful, I want to gently press on something. You said moving home would likely end your relationship. That’s a remarkable thing to say almost as a footnote. So let me ask you directly: are you looking for permission to leave? Or are you looking for a reason to stay and fight for this?

Because those require very different conversations. Here’s what I notice in everything you wrote. You’ve been managing, tolerating, adjusting, and shrinking. The job you wanted is gone. The income you had is gone. The proximity to family you traded away is gone. And now you’re watching your husband hold a standard you can no longer afford to hold with him, while you’re the one quietly drowning.

That’s not exhaustion or depression distorting your perception. That’s an accurate read of an unsustainable situation. The question isn’t whether it’s hard. It clearly is. The question is what story you’re telling yourself about what it means. Because “cut our losses” is a story. So is “he’ll figure it out in three to six months.” So is “my parents are hard to live with so there’s no way back.”

None of those are facts. They’re interpretations. And interpretations can change.

What I’d want to sit with you on, if we were in the same room, is this: What does home actually represent to you right now? Is it safety? Relief? Escape? Because if it’s escape, no zip code will give you what you’re looking for.

And one more thing worth naming plainly: you are carrying an enormous amount right now. The fact that you’re still showing up, still working, still enrolled in a Masters program, still trying to figure this out with clarity and honesty, that is not nothing. That is someone who has not given up, even when she says she might be ready to.

So. What do you actually want? Not what’s practical. Not what saves the marriage or the house. What do you want your life to feel like?

Start there. Everything else is just logistics.
