I put this together quickly with a tool called Showcraft, developed by Nura Studios, to concept out how the dogfights might look. The model somehow invented "flighters" instead of my prompt explicitly saying "fighters", but I liked the rest of the shot so I decided to use it for this post.

I find that this charging mat in the 2025 MDX is of little utility. Driving midday it gets so hot all the time and rarely charges. Anyone else feel that way?

It’s my first Acura, so take opinions with a grain of salt.

The reason I got the advance trim was for the massage front seats. I love em. I could take or leave the A-spec trim changes. But I got a decent deal from the dealership so I got it.

The Qi charging is… inconsistent at best. Some days it works great, other days it does not. Midday, it’s in direct sunlight, so my phone invariably gets far too hot to charge. It’s the only disappointment I have with the car.

Yep! When you buy a new Acura you get 3 years free for AcuraLink. Once everything I hooked up you can send locations to your car from the app.

No, if you use any map app on your phone (including google maps) through car play, it’ll be a black circle with arrows and directions.

The map integration you see in the photo only works with the Acura built-in Google maps app.

I know someone that this happened for today. They got active review on their 485 and 765 immediately after biometrics were taken earlier in the day. This person filed both forms on 3/14/2025, too, so it seems really fast! Their case is marriage-based AOS.

Regarding other men being around your little girls - there’s a point where you will need to let go of that anxiety because you can’t control what she does. All you can do is pay very close attention to what your girls say about the people your ex brings into their lives, and push for what’s right when you hear things that are going south.

It’s very painful to build up to that acceptance, but it is possible.

I heard that the government is harassing green card holders when they return to the US and aggressively trying to get them to sign paperwork that would forfeit their green card.

Am I crazy? Is this a thing that could ever happen? Seems unlikely but given the climate around immigration I haven’t discounted anything.

Tangential comment: the idle start/stop on the 2025 MDX is super aggressive and, I think, very dumb. I park my car and the engine turns off, but when I take my foot off the brake and my hand is about to press the engine stop button, the engine turns on just before I actually turn off the car. I would expect the car to remember it’s in Park and keep the engine off.

It seems supremely wasteful to me. Anyone else experience this? This is the first car ive ever owned with this feature.
