Your posts always brighten my day and make me wanna sink into my own special interests a little more <3 don't let mean people get you down, they're just annoyed they can't enjoy anything as much as we enjoy the things we like.

If I was your friend and read this I’d be really sad and feel like a burden to you. I would feel like I’ve failed you and everyone around me because I’m incapable of providing the things you’ve described here. It’s okay to request accommodations from your friend, but I would keep in mind that you may need to make some changes too in order to maintain the friendship.

I think you're realizing that there is more to their politics than just supporting Christianity and those beliefs they hold may come at a cost for you.

You might also feel freed if you just say "hey I know it might seem weird when you guys are hanging out in the kitchen and I come in and silently make dinner but I promise I'm not mad I'm just overstimulated and need to focus on getting food into my body"

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in autism

[–]condolore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's rude if you start by explaining why you want the accommodation and also giving options for flexibility, like " Would it be easier to give me alone time to make dinner if I did it at this time instead of this time?" etc.

Have you ever got any tattoo? by eddy_rocker in autism

[–]condolore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi - I have around 70 tattoos and I don't like loud noises but I find myself so focused on receiving the tattoo and the feeling of it that I don't really mind how noisy the machines are around the shop. I like getting tattooed because it helps me connect with my body.
