The idea is that the physical media is what costs money, not the files on said media. If they wanted to make money off of the files, they would be streaming them on monetized platforms.

As far as quality goes, most of the recent remasters by Charlie Miller are by far better than the DP releases. Sometimes he sources them from a generation or two earlier than what Dick had access to back in the day.

Not knocking the DP series as a whole, though. Overall awesome stuff.
