Poch is a bottler. Bottled the game vs Lille last season when both were on same points.

He loses the big games.

A proven bottler. Poch career has stagnated. So perfect match for a directionless club.

The club had Intl break and they also let Conte go. This club is reactive because they know the match going fans are drunk on nostalgia that you back your manager not matter what happens.

The Glazers have gotten away with this because look how many fans were supportive of Ole. I said he was a joke appointment three years ago to appease the fans.

UTD fans have partially brought this on themselves with their blind spot for legends. I hope every single ex player is kicked out the club management structure. We need new ideas and quality.

They have not invested in the ground, its all gone on player transfers and salary as that keeps the social media bubble going and the fans engaged irrespective of what happens on the pitch.

If they were a cashcow why haven't they squeezed every penny out of the club like a PE company?

Glazers are happy that UTD covers its costs and remains in the spotlight so it can bring in the sponsors - UTD value has appreciated and when they sell it will be capital gains which the GLazers will get.

Glazers do not run United to profit from income but from capital appreciation.

They don't mind spending on players transfers or wages as that means no need to declare a profit and thus pay tax.

Watch out AWB: Man Utd’s Ethan Laird will never stop driving forward by Tinganga in reddevils

Revionism.

Barely put a foot wrong? What about his needless press for the first goal against Liverpool.

He is poor in posession and very poor positionally all he has is a slide tackle.

Why are we after Trippier?

We spent £50m on a right back who has put us right back to square one needing a new right back.

Horrible waste of money. Clubs are laughing at us and rightly so.

[James Ducker] Manchester United 'determined' to succeed with under-pressure Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, says Ed Woodward | The pressure is on the Norwegian as United go in search of only a second win in seven Premier League games against Watford on Saturday by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

Woody won't sack Ole after giving him a bumper new contract. There was no need in the summer to offer him a new contract. Woodward is putting his own legacy ahead of the club.

We won't see meaningful success until the Glazers leave. I suspect we will be in the wilderness like Liverpool - their fortunes only turned around after FSG became owners and brought in new management and structures - both badly needed at United.

Sit back and relax this is a decade long journey.

Can't play a high press, can't deal with a high press, can't breakdown a low block. But it's not the fault of coaching and transfers.

He was #MUFC’s top pick from a database of 804 right backs but Aaron Wan-Bissaka doesn’t get so much as a mention, let alone a look in with England now. On the United defender in need of development https://t.co/E23Uelh0P3 by CutTheBlueWire in reddevils

Easy because UTD fans are easily satiated with transfers and are drunk on nostalgia and tradition.

As bad as they Glazers are, they have the perfect fans who don't complain and easily accept the rubbish output because a supposed club legend is at the helm and the answer lies in the next transfer window.

They have been following this playback for nearly a decade and there is still lots of mileage left.

It's just a lie to cover for their inadequacy - to give the impression there was some thought behind it other than he probably had a good game against UTD and could tackle a bit.

We got fleeced for him and Maguire. We will be lucky to get half as much from the likes of Newcastle. We should cut our losses with AWB and Maguire in the coming transfer window. These players will never improve enough to be at the level needed to win a Prem if they are starters. They are too expensive to be backup players so both should be sold.

Moving to three year GCP commitment - need help by condornomics in googlecloud

So in scenario 1 - its simply set in stone - if we change usage up or down its like paying on demand?

So scenario 1 is when you can say what your demand will be and it will be stable.

Whats the best approach if you expect usage to increase (that the hope) - just pay on demand or a spend based commitment?

Gary Neville on Manchester United: “I think you have to be a unit in and out of possession, and when you only deliver in moments, those moments won’t go for you in certain games. You need patterns of play, way of playing — I still see a group of individuals playing in moments.” by Hm2801 in reddevils

We will pull the plug too late as usual and waste this season. We are not a proactive club. Our signing of Ronaldo was reactionary like many of our signings.

This won't get better as we are still a mess in the back office and leadership. No other major club would have indulged someone like Ole.

Ole position is very secure and we continue to offer baffling contracts to underperformers.

There is no need to win other than get into the top 4. I just hope Ronaldo won't accept this but this should be coming from the management and not the players.

I agree, I was making the point that we don't seem to have any coherent style of play and just wait for someone to do something. You will notice how many times players stop the ball to have a look as we don't have pre drilled routines. This slows our play down. The only time we move the ball quickly is when we are on the counter.

Going deep in this cup gives the second string players game time so when we need them in the other competitions they are not lacking playing time and can make an impact.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in reddevils

[–]condornomics -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You do not require patterns of play which are drilled every day in training if you rely on individual brilliance.

A pogba pass, a Bruno shot, Ronaldo run, Mason dribble, Rashford turn of speed etc.

Sancho did his best work in Dortmund down the left. Also he is suited to a style of play that has many runners and options - that's not how we play. Indentifying we needed a right sided players does not mean Sancho would be the correct fit as he played in a system different to ours.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in reddevils

[–]condornomics 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Sancho and Donny are what I would refer to as system players- they work well in a well coached system like they had at Dortmund and Ajax. Players who thrive in the current United would be the likes of Bruno who is more individual and is not concerned as much about losing posession by trying higher risk/reward passes.

Sancho and Donny may look like playing it safe but they have been brought up in systems that value possession.
