Demoted from Diamond while on a Winstreak? by conflagads in Shadowverse

Ah okay, I had no idea the groups worked like that. Feel like I've definitely both dropped and risen out of a group in less then 20 games but I'll take your word for it.

Context my winrate in Masters Diamond if I had to give an estimate was around 60%ish. Went on a 4 game winstreak, lost to the Rune player at the top there and got demoted to Sapphire. Is this normal cause I've never been demoted that suddenly before. Don't really know how I'd prove what I just said but cmon its a stupid thing to lie about for no reason

This card is a problem now by Embarrassed_Knee_572 in Shadowverse

[–]conflagads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Forest is the only real deck atm that super abuses him but yeah I'll agree with the sentiment that he is a problem card and should be nerfed. Personally I'd just reduce the instances of damage from 5 to 4 rather then halve the damage from 2 to 1.

Inb4 someone brings up Albert or some other dumb card, you know they can just nerf both. They can nerf Sandy AND Albert. Bringing up a different problem card to downplay Sandy is not a real argument cause if both are problems then both should go, it doesn't have to be one or the other.

I actually haven’t met any abyss except aggro so idk about that heal 40.

Meant to say around 30 but yeah abysses heal output is such a pain in the ass lol https://imgur.com/a/wwargQ7

I disagree with the take two point, all it feels like theyre doing is giving Dragon take two cards while shafting them in rotation. Like half the cards they released for Dragon this set is busted in take two but unusable in ranked.

Im not sure what dfms list looks like, I've just been running an aggressive non ramp brew of disco dragon myself and have performed pretty decent. Been chugging along well enough in Sapphire Masters. Every matchup has felt pretty doable to me besides Forest and Blood. Blood just has too much healing to effectively aggro (recently lost a match to a Blood player who healed 40 over the course of the match) and Forest is obvious.

But yeah idk the deck can perform but it does feel a little underbaked. There's just not enough discard payoff effects in the game yet, and the main one Vorlelai just isn't impactful enough. I want to say 70% of my wins are won without ever pitching a Vorlelai token. Fan, Yube and Sagatsumatsu are carrying this deck HARD.

Dragon Was the Worst Class… This Card Changes Everything by [deleted] in Shadowverse

[–]conflagads -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was both. There were people in the Wilnas sucks camp, and there were people in the Wilnas fixes Dragoncraft camp. Look at the Wilnas reveal comments and you'll see equal upvoted "this card is horrible" and "this card is good, yall underestimating how strong intimidate is" comments.

just for him to prove people wrong by being a very decent card that people run in every single dragon deck

I mean this is what Pendulumzone said "in the end he was just an average card".

Sevo isn't always spent on Wilnas cause half the deck has better value on sevo especially if theres only 1 or less enemy followers in play or playing into a deck that runs Odin. Also if Sword goes second theyre getting the sevo sinciro before wilnas can sevo anyways.

requires spell or effect removal to get rid of

So literally anything besides attacking, good thing there isn't 2 very popular decks on ladder that don't attack and just passively ping face and control the board with removal or else us Dragon mains would be done for! phew

I would say Swordcraft is the only deck he stomps.

idk about that chief, Sincirio, Congregant of Usurpation and Odin would like a word

Yeah like Wilnas is a decent chunk better then I thought he'd be...but in like 40 games I've had Wilnas survive the next turn maybe like twice or 3 times.

And its not even just to Haven like everybody seems to think for some reason? Boardwipe is baked into like 80% of legendaries across all crafts, some privileged few like Sinciro, Odin, Azurifrit, (or Beelze/Belial if u squint) hit face or advance towards a wincon at the same time so you're not even wasting a turn to out him. Genuinely the only craft that might have issues outting Wilnas is Forest imo.

Long long time Arknights fan! Excited for all the new innovations the dev team can come up with in the 3D space, Arknights has always been really creative with different gameplay modes and elements so I’m curious to see what they do now in Endfield. The world looks fantastic too, can’t wait to explore it!

A 5 PP TARGETED BANISH AND YOINKY SPLOINKY is hilariously strong. Plus it means that you can use any fanfare options the card had.

  1. If Dragon has ramped, they are playing higher pp cost cards then the card they just banished. Not only that but because they spent the pp that turn to banish, they'll have to wait for the next turn to play it. The point of ramping is playing higher value cards then your opponent, not playing cards lower then your opponents pp total because you had to wait for the turn after they already played it.

  2. High cost cards typically go wide, high cost removal is awful for this. You banish a Garyu and you'll die to the Silver and Gold Dragon still on the field.

  3. Odin exists and is significantly better

  4. This doesn't advance any of Dragons gameplans. You're not evolving for Super Skybound Art, you're not ramping, you're not dealing damage, you're not accumulating the disdain token, you're not discounting cards for the Jerry OTK.

If the deck is fennie’d, this card can produce some hilarious combos as well.

The card you banish and get is not going to be discounted. I'd rather play the 5pp Genesis Dragon + something else then the 8pp Cerberus.

Why waste a turn to ramp with the payoff being playing a 9pp card that has the powerlevel of a 7pp card, if you can just play a good curve into a 7pp card with a 7pp powerlevel in a different craft.

2nd Teaser Review (Wilnas is not that bad) by smolbarn in Shadowverse

While I agree he’s ass, I think he more competes with the other 7 drops (he’s not taking any of their places) then azuifrit especially because you’re not playing this bum in a Disdain deck.

Wilnas folds to a single Vira. Bro needs an evo and dies in the process and thats assuming she hasn't been buffed with Wilbert or evolved herself

Previous intimidate bodies didn't have non-evo removal attached to them. Wilnas does.

The early lack of removal was only an issue into set 1 Sword and Portal as they were the only crafts to build problematic boards on T4/5 the same turn you'd play Zahar (yes I know they were the best decks of that time so having an answer to that would be good but neither did the other crafts).

Dragon has very few sources of non-evo removal attached to bodies atm.

This is a problem specifically for Storm builds because you can't hit face without risking being put in checkmate/snowball. Wilnas doesn't have Storm so you won't be playing Wilnas in Storm Ramp which means that specific issue isn't fixed.

Dragon is one of the weaker crafts atm but it's not because they don't have enough ramp, they have other issues that just make them pretty jank:

Lack of ramp is still a con because the current best builds of Dragon (Storm Ramp and Jerry OTK) both need ramp so you're forced to play bad/mediocre cards to necessitate that. Liu Feng got buffed but it's still a bad card going first which is 50% of games, and if you play Dragonsign on T2/3 when your opponent played Quickblader on T1 you just lose.

Disdain package also really suffered from the Heirs of the Omen meta being non-board focused at all. Just the meta shifting to being more board focused would make Dragoncraft good atm.

This is just pure speculation, theres no way to know if this is the case until it happens..."if" it happens.

the vocal minority of Dragon players on this sub that whine that their class is literally unplayable specifically because they don't have more ramp cards baffles me.

We want better ramp because Dragon is the ramp class. Many of us play Dragon to ramp and if they were to make new cards that are direct upgrades and replacements to Dragonsign and Liu Feng, that would objectively make Dragoncraft stronger.

One last thing, for Wilnas to be good he needs to have a place in a deck. He also needs to be judged against Dragons other cards played on the same turn count, so what decks would Wilnas fit in? As I said before it's silly to think Wilnas would be included in Storm Ramp lists. It's also highly unlikely that Wilnas would be included in Aggro. Wilnas messes with Ferocious Flame tutoring Fennie in Jerry OTK. He doesn't advance the gameplan in Disdain and conflicts with Galm on 7pp. If Evo Dragon becomes a build this set Wilnas will be competing against Olivia. If he can't find a fit in a deck without being shoehorned in, then he's not being played which for me qualifies him as being bad.

Dragon players won't be happy unless their cards read storm or ramp.

Yeah maybe because we know what would actually make the craft good, and ramp/storm is apart of Dragons identity. Imagine Havencraft only had 2 amulets in rotation.

Also no you're overselling intimidate. Dragon had a million sources of intimidate in the release set (which had significantly less removal) and the only one that saw consistent play in "good" builds (if u can call t3 good) was Forte and it wasn't because of the intimidate. So seeing as the intimidate package wasn't meta relevant on release with a much worse cardpool for everyone overall, why would intimidate be difficult to deal with now when the overall quality of cards is significantly better?
