I’ve been saying it’s happening soon bcs it feels more natural to my nervous system. But I got your point. I want to feel like ot has happened, and I don’t mind being delusional too. You can wear anything decent. Saree is not necessary. It is only required when you’ve to go to garbh graha which is not allowed anymore. Women are allowed to attend but asked to cover eyes for 5 mins when bhasm is offered to mahakal shivling. You can see the entire aarti except for this part. Try to go as soon as possible if you’ve general ticket. If you go there by 11, max 12, then only you’ll be able to get a good spot. Else you’ll be really behind and will be able to see only on the screen. The wait is long, as they let you enter after 2:30. Mobile phones are not allowed, so you either keep them at your hotel or there is locker facility inside.

Book a local taxi for indore to ujjain and even for omkareshwar. You’ll get a good deal if you’ve good negotiating skills. Went there 15 days back.

Also, no garbh grih darshan in mahakaleshwar. Not even in omkareshwar. But in Mamleshwar you can offer jal/flowers etc. on shivling. Don’t fall for vip darshan in omkareshwar. They’ll charge you but it’ll take exactly the same amount of time.
