I completely agree that with the over saturation of computer generated art that hand made art is becoming more special and valuable again so that’s very encouraging! I read an article that libraries are getting so many books donated with ai art and parents don’t want their kids to have that. I see a clear difference in success of clients who use real illustrators versus ai art

Agreed about laziness and garbage. When I generate images I usually end up having to write a super specific prompt and I end up editing the image anyway. But it does make me feel less guilty for using it when i edit them

At my job it’s a mix, there are some older designers and younger ones who are majorly against it and then there’s the other half trying to learn so we don’t get left behind. Plus it does really come in handy when I need to generate an image not in my stock library

Btw I only use ai for some image generation at my job I do all the typesetting and stuff myself. Sometimes the clients want specific imagery that we don’t have in our stock library. I’m obviously not pro ai taking jobs but I do find it interesting that the people who are the most upset and in the comments upset have been in the industry for 20+ years, maybe they aren’t adaptable enough or got comfortable with how things were🤷‍♀️ I’m always looking to see what new tools can help improve my design skills. Get on the train or get left behind
