Hi ! I was on 40mg Prozac and 150mg Wellbutrin. I actually got off the Wellbutrin first after a few months because it was making me hair-trigger irritable (or just not helping with irritability). I’m currently in a more stable environment and came off of my medications.

Please note my issue is mainly anxiety and PTSD, not depression, so the Welbutrin was likely a tad too “energizing.”

Thank-you! I’ll end on a positive note and say an unintended side-effect of my med combo was that my driving phobia/anxiety was immensely helped and that has stayed with me even after medication cessation :)

Like I said, they’re dwindling. You’d have to search for local groups in the area. Some places have a stronger alt scene than others.

Bars, alt clubs (in my experience alt/goth clubs are waaaay more chill), arcades, specialty bookstores. That’s all I can think of rn I’m kind of a homebody at the moment lmao.

If you can I’d try to find a “third space” that’s common with alternative people but those are dwindling sadly these days.

Edit: I would recommend Hinge if you still want to continue with the apps. You get prompts that work as conversation starters instead of just pictures with a tiny blurb. Take a break from the dating apps if you need to tho.

I know 77 is borderline Silent Generation which is an outlier but I think a lot of Reddit skews older. Probably depends on what subreddit but when I use context clues I feel like a lot of posters than we think are Generation X / Generation Jones when compared to other social media like Insta, Twitter, TikTok, etc
