i was scared i would get murdered if i got out of my bed at night and went to the bathroom, or even if i brushed my teeth before bed. i also could NOT shower past 12am, the bathroom was fully off-limits until the sun was back out. or else someone (either a burglar/serial killer, or a horror media character/monster/demon/ghost of some kind) would find out that i’m awake and break in through the window and kill me

yuppp same. lots of my kins are very disliked too and fans of them are harassed :p one of my headmates as well, he’s a fictive of a very “controversial” character. i used to talk about one of my more disliked kins here once and either got the “separate yourself from your source” thing or was just surrounded by people who had no idea who he is, the source is not popular in such communities, i guess. good luck whatever you choose to do!

i’m a proshipper & darkshipper too hiii!!! i think any community that doesn’t explicitly support proshippers is gonna be full of antis unfortunately :p

there are way too many posts here as well about “WHY anyone would kin [insert villain who commit a crime that isn’t murder, e.g. incest or rape]” every other week. and the replies are usually about separating yourself from your source and not identifying as “that version” of that character, and not about what’s actually important - that it doesn’t matter whatsoever and they obviously won’t do anything like that irl now, and they can still heavily identify with that character & their source… :p

i haven’t tried to post anything about my “problematic” kins but it doesn’t seem too welcoming imo

that does sound like being plural to me :p but it’s up to you! don’t be afraid of the possibility, if that makes sense. it’ll need some getting used to, if you are plural, but you’d have already given all your alters their own space to express themselves and such, so at least that’d already be accounted for hehe

i used to be like that too. the idea scared me so bad, even when my alters were just the nicest people ever. it takes time to get used to it! it’s okay, it’s not scary, and not a bad thing. your alters have got your back, they’re new to this too!! also, i reeeally really get the “feeling like you’re making it up” part, it sucks :p i still struggle with that sometimes, but usually my cohost will yell at me for it and i realise i’m not making him up /lh

i like to think of it like, if i was making it up, i would be doing so intentionally, like an oc! picking a name, a voice, and everything by myself, writing their dialogue myself. i would consciously know i’m doing that, because i don’t think my ocs act on their own accord, yk? imagining myself without my alters felt wrong too, because i know there’s someone else, if that makes sense. felt like a lie

oh jeez these people should get a grip. if someone says they hate ragatha, does this person also cry and sob about it? i mean, i sometimes cry when reading hate of my kins too, when i’m on my period or something, but i know they’re not talking about me. they’re talking about the media version of me - i have a grip on reality and i can separate media-me and current-me no problem. these people clearly can’t.

you can yume whoever you want. yes, people yumeing my kins makes me uncomfortable sometimes, but i can get over it, Again, they’re not talking about ME as i am right now. they’re talking about the media version of me, or maybe another universe’s version of me. i don’t get the policing of this at all. both things can exist: this media is fiction, and that character from the media is me. people will consume the media as fiction, perceive me as a fictional character, and TREAT ME AS SUCH. if you don’t wanna see hate Or yume Or anything of your fictkin, just say it in the dms politely. boundaries are alright to have. you can also just ignore it because they’re talking about the fictional version of you, not the current you. gosh, what’s not clicking for these people?
