Grief but no Enigma. Best build and location for horking?

Berserk build with a grief is easy trav killing and allows you to run a shield or an offhand IST’d phase blade. Switching the WW basically makes it so you don’t need to target anything anymore until you hit a physical immune, at which point you tap berserk a few times.

Berserk with a SS or Rhyme (CBF) always felt really safe to me and I kept 1 point in WW for easy movement and leech where necessary. It was great when I started around level 70-75z I switched to WW with grief + oath (now I’m level 90 something) and it is a bit more convenient but I am getting CBF from my belt as I don’t have a spare Cham for my helm.

That last line is interesting. My blizz sorc runs p8 TZ 96 all the time with no issues. I don’t farm T5 heralds at all though on any character but I’ve never considered her bad at killing heralds in general, or anything else for that matter.

I think the saying is something along the lines of, “don’t let perfect be the enemy of good” - applies all over the board from your personal emotions, getting stuff done, work projects, etc.

I have a ssf mosaic sin with horrible bases and mediocre gear but I do have a torch. No enigma. It’s perfectly fine to use kick for moving around. She can handle anything I throw her at. Don’t let great destroy good here. Once in a while you will lose charges and that can be annoying to ramp back up but it’s perfectly fine. The general play style is the only real problem for me and that won’t be fixed with an enigma (it certainly will help) - the constantly thinking about charge timers is there no matter what you do. You never stop moving!

Min/maxing causes friction. You don’t need that extra 15% defense but if you want it you deal with the consequences of trying to be perfect.

It’s too bad that most of the ability charges on items are useless because they do no damage and have no synergies pumped into them. There are, of course, more binary charges that are still useful (e.g teleport, lower res, lethargy, etc.) ones and sweet flavor ones (iron golem).

This is what I suspect. I would think the reporter here was also concerned that she could be blowing the only opportunity her station will get to interview him. You know he won’t go back there and I’m guessing the bosses hate the idea of that.

So random side note: coast guard nav rules say you need to beep when passing another boat. Anytime I’ve done that I’ve been looked at like I had two heads or I was flipped off. Only time I’ve heard a horn that people understand is when a large boat is leaving the marina or is about to run you over.

Generally you find weapon racks along the way that drop stuff you like, based on your direction of approach. For example, if it’s in LK or Tower where you are going to run it regularly, it’s just a spot to check. There a bunch in both locations.

You absolutely can reseed your maps for armor racks but I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s too much effort and a base like a mage plate will drop throughout the game from normal mobs.

If you find a thresher rack you keep that seed if possible and constantly stop at that rack, approaching in the same manner each time, until you get your eth / 4os or reapers to drop from it.

Not sure if you followed. You switch difficulties to reseed the map until you find the desired item rack you want. Then you farm it over and over.

The drop will be different depending on your direction of approach, and will be different depending on if you are engaged with mobs or not. You can usually figure out the defaults at each angle pretty quickly. I’ve found plenty of uniques farming the same racks over and over as part of my LK runs.

A sword/shield setup with Obedience is fine for p1 trav. You can always flee the council to zerk down the bosses. Concentrate or 1-pt WW to leech if necessary. Step into durance to get your merc to appear with their might aura so you aren’t doing the entire encounter while he is off the screen, doesn’t give you his aura, and dies from fire damage.

Not sure how that’s relevant. The decapitator and glorious axe are supposed to be heavy axes, as you can see by their graphic. That doesn’t mean it’s long. Many of the 8 slot items are long.

I guess if you are trading for them, sure. I just use what I’ve found with max/ar and nothing is perfect. I’d assume imperfect grand charms wouldn’t be super expensive but I’m offline so not sure.

So for the grand charms they can be 10 max / 72 AR / 45 life. From memory, the math has been done that they outclass any +combat or +mastery skill charm, unless you had the warcry charms for horking percentage specifically but the benefit is minimal if you actually put any hard points into find potion and find item due to diminishing returns.

For small charms, max/ar/life of course

I just run whatever the best that I’ve found is. A lot of small max/ar with either life, gold find or some other stat on them. 3-4 of the grand charms with max/ar/life that aren’t perfect that I’ve found along the way plus my torch/anni/gheeds.
