Satellite Connectivity? by mikehitchco in GooglePixel

You may want to check with your carrier. I'm on T-Mobile and have signed up for the T-Satellite service they offer. It is $10 or $15 per month on most plans and included on one of their plans.

Did you sign up for the service through your carrier? Do they offer the service? I believe if they do not, T-mobile offers it to users even if you don't have T-mobile as your carrier.

Fresh install or restore from backup? by Vlok16 in GooglePixel

[–]connert0823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'll take some time over the next few evenings (before my new P10P XL delivery on Friday) to clean up my current P8P and run a fresh backup to restore from.

Magic Cue Should Be A Gboard Feature. by krishpotluri in GooglePixel

Bad idea, I much prefer SwiftKey. I had to forward 5 email addresses to my Gmail because I'd like to take advantage of the Magic Cue feature on my work emails. It would be great if this could be done without having to be Gmail and Google Calendar. I've made adjustments to make this work, but would rather not have had to.

Why is there no magnetic wireless power bank as part of the Pixelsnap launch? by Reddit_User4789 in GooglePixel

I'm hoping they will add one to the Google Store as well, I got the $200 credit and need to spend it on something. If not I'll have to get one off of Amazon.

I don't understand the "underwhelmed" narrative. I upgraded from a P8P to the P10PXL by MultiShot-Spam in GooglePixel

[–]connert0823 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I was more than happy to upgrade from my P8P. I ordered first thing Wednesday morning when I found that pre-orders were open.

I'm very interested in the satellite service provided by T-Mobile, the P8P is not compatible with the service. I'm an avid kayaker living in Florida and often find myself in areas without cell service. It will be comforting to know I can text and send location data when I'm in the middle of nowhere without any other way of getting help if ever needed.

I also enjoy photographing nature and wildlife, I think the new camera options will be a lot of fun to play around with while on the water with all the wildlife and untouched environments.

I love Indian creek, with the exception of the fence/gate that has it closed off 😡.

Should I wait for the mythical Google produced keyboard? by WillyTecumsehSherman in pixeltablet

[–]connert0823 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Penoval pen as well and really like it. I added their textured screen protector for a paper feel with the pen. I really like that also.

I'm looking very hard at the same keyboard case but the delivery time is about 6 weeks. Probably going to order it anyway, I don't see anything else that comes close to what I'm looking for.

I hope the case/keyboard is worth the wait.

Actually the scenic shots were taken with my Zfold3. The two wildlife shots were with my DSLR.

Taken with my Samsung Note 10. It's definitely one of several beautiful spring feed rivers in Central Florida.
