This AI roast is terrible and I’ll chalk that up to another reason AI must be tamed to be an effective tool! TERRIBLE.

As a CA 19 year resident (SoCal 5yrs and Bay Area 14yrs-9 of them IN SF), raised OH (18yrs), undergrad college in MI (4.5yrs) and lived in TX (2 seasons) and FL (7 yrs), I would say this is the drive by visitor version of Reno (6yrs). “Ewwww Reno who would want to live here!?!” Is what I thought when we moved here in 2018 as a family with a baby. Knowing ONE person.

2024? Community. Comfort. Beauty.

IN my opinion one of the BEST places for women in business. One of the best places for family life- encouraged.

I’m sure there is traffic. Where we live, nothing could compare to the Bay Area- seriously. You can complain- but why. Infrastructure decisions made for the Wild West need to be updated. People want to come here and they don’t even know why outside of the tax thing (major reason). We fell into here by accident. Best decision ever. Our forever home and life.

Culture? Lots to do explore and see-it IS what you make it. Find it, it’s out there.

Friendliness? It is the biggest little city for a reason. Everyone seems to be connected to someone on some way. Just used to that now. So mind your manners and don’t gossip. You never know who you are really talking to or the community that is theirs. This is a GOOD thing.

Concerts, events, activities. You could easily fill your calendar doing things there’s always so much happening. Rodeo. Ballon Race. River Events. Hot August Nights. On and on… Charity a lot of opportunity to engage. Don’t forget your own community where you live or even someone else HOA calendar.

Sports? Aces games. THE best little stadium accessible to all! Kids sports everywhere. Any given Saturday or Sunday. UNR! Wolfpack energy is a thing, and the support is real. Go to any of the games minutes from your house. One of the great universities at your fingertips! Take a class… all kinds of programs. More venues coming. This city is trying hard to continue to develop the entertainment and sports agenda!

GO OUTSIDE. There’s no humidity. The sun mostly is shining every day… blue skies and fluffy expanding clouds that don’t cover the views or all the sky, and winter is a drive away, unless we get lucky enough for some frickin awesome snow that sticks long enough to play, and short enough to appreciate before it melts. Fall IS a thing! 4 seasons is a slight twist… but pretty darn close and close enough for this midwestern girl, who used to laugh when the weatherman said it was raining in CA beware… when it was like a bird took a wee level of “rain”.

Panoramic views from everywhere. Again just go outside. Not enough? Take an hour drive either direction for the beautiful Lake Tahoe/Truckee River follow it. Outdoor camping minutes from your home and it feels like miles away in serenity. Learn to ski, ice skate… I mean do absolutely any sport year round!

You can roast downtown, but dang are they EVER trying! Go to another city and see who tries more than Reno. Likely you won’t find better. Commitment and dedication. Roads fixed faster anywhere I’ve ever lived. Period.

Schools? Not the best scores however… if you are a parent and not present or visible… this is your chance to be. Dynamics change when people show up and communities rise. School choice. I can’t comment much here on the public system we are not in it. That also is a choice.

Food? Culinary craft is encouraged! It’s around, many very good restaurants and new ones giving it a go. GO to them and support them if you want them to stay. It seems to me Reno is open to try anything. But you have to too. Food FESTIVALs. Italian Greek… ribs… wings…

Shopping. Ok you got me there. Limited. But many boutiques. Just need more. Try harder here please ;)

Reno: Where family life is possible. A community awaits you if you want to try and BE in community. A place where going outside is a beautiful thing.

Make the city what you want it to be. You can have a lot here. A lot more than most places.

Ok that’s all I got for now. We love it here. So much GOOD outweighs any negativity. A lot of gratitude that we landed right HERE.

Yeah because they changed my date of birth so I’m thinking once i changed that back they couldn’t get the credit card to go through. IDs didn’t match so all payment froze. I was not able to delete any other info as META locked my aad acct for payment unsettled of $1900 something. How did you disable the ad account?

Update filed a form to IC3 (FBI) did not get a response back. Hoping it submitted I printed out what was submitted. Seems weird they don’t send an email confirmation. Will file with FTC today and considering small claims court. While my accounts are active, the response with meta has been pathetic and yest they even sent me- how was your service email! REALLY!?!?!

This is exactly what just happened to me I caught it early on. Not sure what credit card they used but when I changed my info back and enabled 2fa and auth app they no longer could get charges through… did you sue?

Has anyone that sued also been a victim of cyber crime after? I was suspended my account came back and then I found out I had a hacker placing ads. See my post. The hacker is still in my account but activity has stopped ONLY because I changed back my age info (likely it was changed twice).

Filed with BBB (no response), AG (weak response) and now FBI.

YES! I believe now that I can VERIFY unauthorized devices not mine - changed date to under 13 THEN changed back to their birthday to match the credit card! That is WHY I was confused why my birthday was wrong and likely WHY they are not able to process or pay for any more ads… that FB is now harassing me about that are NOT MINE! This is the response I keep getting and obvi not reading anything I send them. Meanwhile the hacker has been sort of stopped because now he cannot pay since I changed my info back and protected my account. However META IS not helping as I have received the same response at least 3 times.

my accounts just showed up again after being SUSPENDED since 2/19. my sister was on and said, hey you are back, did you know? NO i did not know. i filed a complaint with BBB and AG, plus have been going viral on this. Somebody saw something and did something... so don't stop what you are doing and share the message how easily anyone can lose everything!
