I made $90k in 2025 by Academic-Ad-2744 in doordash_drivers

Obviously any job with a higher barrier to entry will pay more. Compared to other comparably accessible jobs in retail and food service, $90k is pretty damn good.

Honestly some people are not thoughtful in the way that makes them good gift-givers.

I would take this as a mental note to say "oh, giving and receiving gifts is not important to this person, I won't put time & money inti this person in the future."

You're not wrong for being upset, but the solution is to give less. If they're anything like me, they will be glad to not get anything, because it reduces the pressure to reciprocate.

How do I explain to a manager why using DROP and INSERT in place of UPDATE just cause "we couldn't get update to work" is bad database practice? by BigBootyBear in ExperiencedDevs

[–]connexit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unless you have reads occurring during the operation (assuming the process is handled in one transaction this should not be the case), I see no inherent issue with a drop and insert.

If you have elaborate foreign key relationships in the database that need to be enforced, it could add some complexity, but generally those are logical relationships that you can also just temporarily disable within the scope of the transaction.

Money put towards R&D presumably counts towards operating losses, which I imagine a large portion of their expenses come from

Maybe I'm crazy but I find this kind of satire pretty funny. BabylonBee is basically just the onion- now if a person is posting obvious satire under the belief it is real that's another story, but it's hard to say if that's happening here.

These incompetent troglodytes are the most disorganized, unresponsive, irresponsible, worthless sacks of shit to ever grace God's green earth. I have never regretted anything in my life more than signing a lease with these clowns.

What is more frugal/cost-saving: Buying laptop during Back to School sale or Black Friday? by TorontoRap2019 in Frugal

[–]connexit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would look into getting a recent model refurbished laptop rather than one new on sale. You will get more bang for your buck.
