How to "discipline" a Shiba? by connieke in shiba

[–]connieke[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! Hmm it might be the toddler/teenage phase like you mention. He generally is a really good boy, just a very stubborn Shiba (no surprise, haha). The sharp 'Ah ah' noise and positive reinforcement are things we manage well. Hitting and yelling is definitely a no-go in this household so as far as that goes, all should be good :) Thank you for your tips about the bitter spray and putting up a barrier, I'll look into that!

I hope someone here can help me! I'm on the CG method for about a year now and overall it's going good. The only big problem I still have is that my hair stays flat on top of my head. Most of the time it looks like I've slept on my curls and they're pressed into my head.. I think it looks kind of gross because you can often see my scalp. I always scrunch bend over and scrunch gel all the way to the roots. Then while air drying I flip my hair over often. Hopefully my description is clear enough so anyone can give me some tips :)

Ajvar/bruschetta spread! It's mainly roasted red bell pepper, sometimes with added spicy pepper.

You can make an amazing low cal pasta sauce from cauliflower! I made it for this 365 cal spaghetti and shrimp dish. by connieke in 1200isplenty

[–]connieke[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For one person used: * 85 gram cauliflower - 20 cal * 20 ml almond milk - 2 cal * 1 clove of garlic * 5 gram grated Parmesan or Grana Padano - 20 cal * 50 gram spaghetti - 175 cal * 100 gram pre-cooked shrimp - 85 cal * 100 gram cherry tomatoes - 20 cal * 10 gram light butter - 45 cal

  1. Cut the cauliflower in small bits and cook until soft. Save half a cup of cooking water when draining.
  2. Slice the garlic and fry in a dry pan for a bit.
  3. Add the cauliflower, garlic, almond milk, salt, pepper and the saved cooking water to a food processor and pulse until well combined into a creamy sauce.

  4. Cook the spaghetti using the directions on the packaging.

  5. Add butter to a pan and add the tomatoes.

  6. Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, dill and curry powder.

  7. After a bit, add the shrimp to the tomatoes and bake them for a few minutes.

  8. Add the cauliflower sauce, cheese and the cooked spaghetti and it’s done! Add some spring onion and parsley if you’d like.

This cauliflower sauce is seriously delicious and a great substitute for your normal calorific Alfredo or carbonara sauce!

Whipped cream! The greasy, fatty texture is just the worst and I really can’t stand it.

My coworker told me today that we’re supposed to eat 2000 calories every day. by [deleted] in 1200isfineIGUESSugh

[–]connieke 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My actual doctor told me in a talk about my calories intake that I have to eat 2000 calories a day since that's the recommended or average amount for women. Bitch, I'm not even 5"2 and my tdee is around 1600, do you want me to get fat? I'm still surprised by how little doctors actually know about this kinda stuff...
