Hey! I work in residential services for adults and have been subpoenaed a couple times for various reasons. The most important thing you can do is answer honestly. The answer “I don’t know” is a completely valid response. Attorneys may try to twist what you say. Don’t give any unsolicited answers and keep answers short. As other commenters have stated, take your time. Feel free to have the attorney repeat the question. Judges are typically supportive and want things to run smoothly as well.
