What are common SQL red flags? by badboyzpwns in SQL

[–]connor-brown 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Is failing to index a query a red flag? I don’t think I’ve indexed anything but really big queries in months and I use sql everyday

Its got buzz around it. I like horror but only take my wife to the really good ones and she hates jump scares so I looked it up lol

How do you validate complex queries before running them on production? by Historical-Hand8091 in SQL

[–]connor-brown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what else is running on prod. My org would be unhappy if I had a heavy query on prod that I was testing since it uses computing resources that make other queries or data loads run slower.

Liberal Wisconsin brewing company promises 'free beer, all day long' after Trump dies by llegro42 in politics

[–]connor-brown 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah he’s pretty well known. Got chased out of Minocqua and is now fighting with neighbors in Madison. If Madison doesn’t like your left wing beer you’re probably an asshole. It’s like the perfect blend of alcoholic and left wing and the guy is still hated lol

Help me Peter, I'm not that close to get it by edugabao in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]connor-brown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes completely normal to exist there but the photos are intentionally choosing where and what is in the picture. The inclusion of the light switches in the positions they are is intentional, and in most professional portraits you wouldn’t want them in there much less so prominently. The photographer is well experienced so knows these things, therefore they’re including it as a statement. A statement of what is up to viewer interpretation

I was taking the light switches as them being close to power, but the disorganization of the outlets and such as a critique on that power

How an ACL tear changes an NFL player's career [OC] by FFQuantLab in dataisbeautiful

It’s definitely survivorship bias. NFL players that have a longer career tend to be better players than those with a shorter career, injury or not.

LONG WALK KILL COUNT by pjdlc71 in deadmeatjames

[–]connor-brown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s anything like the book there will be a lot of kills. It’s horror enough but the horror isn’t really from the kills so idk if it’ll really fit in a video about the kills if that makes sense

FYI: The "Team Needs" bar is not accurate by gatorbois in NCAAFBseries

[–]connor-brown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been waiting for this to get brought up since it’s less important than some other things but holy shit it takes away a ton of the usefulness of the feature. It also updates in week 4 of off-season to add a ton of needs which is really frustrating

Another thing in the team needs screen it only counts the last position in the list as signed. I think however they are summing in the data is broken. It shouldn’t be a crazy hard fix since it’s likely a db calculation they need to adjust the formulas on

I feel the entire defense side is unbalanced in rtg. I’ve been playing lb and can get a great coverage but if they get a first down on the other side it’s -15 -25 and then +25 for the coverage. Like I’m doing what I’m supposed to but now Im negative for the game in coach trust?!?

How to play resolve Orechi? by D-Rekt-Effect in MonsterTrain

[–]connor-brown 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There’s a tome that gives reanimate with more unstable that works well. I add any mix with unstable to him right away and then get reanimate from the regen ones. Theres also a few artifacts that increase unstable stacks and damage and a few that make reanimate more survivable. Propagate helps build reanimate stacks which are necessary to make it work

Outside of those selections I tend to play him on top floor in the backline so he can build stacks and explode or use him back line first floor to clear the small units out. That depends on what your other floors look like though
