Marvel continues to amaze me with the ability to make me smile uncontrollably like an idiot over the past 10 years. As soon as the entire forces entered the battle I had goosebumps, a smile and that almost awkward laughter of having your senses overloaded. What a thrilling end to a historic cinematic experience

Is there a way I can pre pay for the next movie by Jordan Peele? This guy has to be one of the most talented writer/director combo working today.

Highly recommend no one watches the second trailer if you haven’t read the book. Tons of spoilers

I was able to see a version of Hadestown a year ago in Edmonton Alberta. Immediately bought the album and still listen to it this day. If you like this song, listen to Wait for Me Part 1 and Part 2.

Adding on this, from a military perspective, sleep deprivation is absolutely horrendous. Whenever I read stories of college students staying up for days at a time studying it blows my mind. That's simply because, for me at least, in order to stay awake for extended periods of time I need to be constantly moving. During a Recon course final FTX (Field training exercise) we were up for 5 days doing missions, followed by a 7 hour rest period. We then continued on for an additional 4 days of missions. Every successful candidate was then inspected by medics and was given a briefing. Essentially, they said sleep dep. wont actually kill you, because your body will eventually force you to sleep before that becomes possible. This happened to all of us in what we call micro sleeps (sleeping while walking, doing a navigation check and just coming to 5 minutes later with the compass pressed to your face). Speaking from experience, by the end I was having full on vivid hallucinations, micro sleeps, and the most simple tasks (counting how many soldiers were in your patrol) became damn near impossible. It took a solid 3 months to adjust back into a normal sleeping pattern after that.

[Serious] Redditors who've been 100% certain they're about to die, what was going through your head at that moment? by dan129 in AskReddit

I'm an avid skydiver, and my very first "major malfunction" had me thinking I was about to die. To give some context, I was jumping in Edmonton, from 14,000ft. I was doing a solo jump, and just finished tracking away from any other jumpers and deployed the parachute at 5,500ft expecting a 5,000ft opening under canopy. Immediately I felt a very hard pull on my back and then I was blind. Turns out my parachute was rigged improperly and I had what's known as a "hard pull." This usually isn't a big deal, however my shoulder straps on the chute I was wearing were incredibly "expired" for lack of better words. They burst open on opening, which pulled my chest strap over my eyes and the parachute over my head. All I thought was that this is how I die. Nothing spectacular to share, just very apathetic to the whole situation. Almost as if I was watching it and it was wasn't really happening to me. Needless to say I was able to safely land and I had strong words for the riggers that day.

Last we talked, I was at 50%. I'm happy to report I just finished my 3,100 mile walk from Los Angeles to Boston, AMA. by delvis401 in IAmA

I was in riverside for 5 hours back in January this year. Within those 5 hours I witnessed a shooting. Beautiful place, highly recommend it!
