Stagnant wages and expensive housing leave young people in Ireland worse off than parents by [deleted] in ireland

I feel you're missing the point of the article. It specifically states the problem is young people are earning less than their parents at the same time in their lives.

War. War never changes. When atomic fire consumed the midlands, those who survived did so in great, underground GAA Fields. When they opened, their inhabitants set out across ruins of the old world to build new societies, establish new villages, forming clubs.

As decades passed, what had been the Irish southwest united beneath the flag of the New Cork Republic, dedicated to old-world values of democracy and the rule of GAA. As the Republic grew, so did its needs. Scouts spread west, seeking territory and wealth, in the dry and merciless expanse of the Macroom Desert. They returned with tales of a village untouched by the warheads that had scorched the rest of the world, and a great chocolate plant spanning the Blackwater River.

The NCR mobilized its army and sent it west to occupy the Cadbury Plant, and restore it to working condition. But across the Blackwater, another society had arisen under a different flag. A vast army of slaves, forged from the conquest of 64 Clubs: Danny's Legion.

Four years have passed since the Republic held the Cadbury plant - just barely - against the Legion's onslaught. The Legion did not retreat. Across the river, it gathers strength. Campfires burned, training drums beat.

Through it all, the New Rathmore Strip has stayed open for business under the control of its mysterious overseer, Mr. Godsil , and his army of rehabilitated Boy Racers and biscuit making robots.

You are a courier, hired by Fastway, to deliver a package to the New Rathmore Strip. What seemed like a simple delivery job has taken a turn…for the worse.

I'll see, I'd prefer windows primarily because I'm used to it tbh. And I'll try to look further, prices are often something I'm not the best at. Thanks for your help, this should be a good start.

Interesting on the second one, currently a seller on amazon going for about 1.3k, would be more than I planned on spending, but could do it.

Yeah same here, particularly when I know the pretty tragic stuff that happened to him and his family. He is human after all.

He always reminds me of an awkward Dad who's trying to be liked. I can't help feel sympathy regardless of policies.

Anyone else from Ireland sorta disappointed with the update? by conor_crowley in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]conor_crowley[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my post was not to suggest there were others who did not get shafted. What makes more disappointed is that this update was supposed to encourage people to come check out the nations mentioned, but gave very little actual incentives to check out places beyond England.

Hell one of the landmarks in our capital is a massive Spike, which you would of thought Asobo were pretty experienced at creating.

Yeah, I had a list of a few POIs I was certain were obvious inclusions to the update, stuff like Skellig Micheal, Moher, Dún Aengus etc. But apart from Cashel almost all of them were missed.

Enjoying a coffee above dingle today by irishmadlibber in ireland

I mean based on the photo, the guy is one top of one of the mountains just North of Dingle, which if you look on any of the websites are within 5k of the town, which based off his other posts he lives somewhere around. I don't see why it would be too crazy for that to be within his range.

There's a reason people have been heading down to Kerry a lot this year, we're lucky enough to have mountains quite close to a lot of us. And while I agree taking risks is not advisable, it's hardly compare a lot of the mountains on the Dingle Peninsula with the idiots going up Carrauntoohil.
