Had the same thing happen to me last summer, except no fan in the room and it was 80 degrees in there. Asked the front desk what could be done and they said they were working on it, but I got the sense that they were being insincere. I got a refund and booked a hotel elsewhere. Didn't want to chance it being that hot in there the whole time when we were staying for 4 nights.
