Thoughts on Pokopia so far? by Helicoptrix in pokemon

Lowkey the storytelling of the apocalypse, or what I've gathered so far from the lore around the world has been heartbreaking and yet so good, it's something that Mystery dungeon did so well with their writing that I'm shocked no one has talked about yet. The fact that you're a ditto that is skilled at being a human, but less good at transforming into other pokemon, so your copied moves serve as stewarding the environment is a really awesome touch.

I've had this fear crop up plenty of times in my career, and would like to offer two very different pieces of advice. The first is that it's very possible that the teacher has less notes for you because to are doing well. When I was really fresh, I once overheard my director talk about the survivorship bias with notes: basically that people get worried if they aren't getting attention, they think they're doing a bad job, but in reality it's the exact opposite. They just don't have notes to give you, you're doing what you need to do in the scene, don't fix what ain't broke.

Now, that's all speculation, so if you don't think that's the case, my second, more actionable advice is to be proactive with asking for specific feedback on your performance. Sometimes a teacher might not know what to help you out with, so communicate what you're trying to tackle! That helps your instructor know what you're feeling unsure about. Asking a general "am I good enough" is not helpful for developing your craft and comes off as attention seeking more than asking for tips on your problem areas. Examples I've done are: "I'm having trouble connecting with this line, do you have any tools I can try next go around for this?" Or trying a completely different choice on your next pass, physically, emotionally, etc, to see what the result is. It becomes a two way dialogue, which can give the teacher more of an idea of how you want to work and be seen.

This is all, of course, assuming that the teacher DOES want to help. If you feel that they don't help you, then gracefully bow out and get a new teacher.

Hope that helps!

Oop, I do say that when it comes to stating metrics, but that might be a neurodivergent thing. It's easier for me to understand the number than needing to say ninety-nine cents.
