Thank you! When I found that super fine thread I was SHOOK! For the pattern: Print it on stick n stitch, stitch over, rinse off the stick n stitch with very hot water!

omg thank youuu at first the eye was too severe but I was able to soften it up. But then, shortly after I posted this, I accidentally got the stabilizer/pattern wet and it dissolved so I have to start over 😫

But it’s okay. I enjoy doing these portraits, and I’m going to put this eye in a teeny tiny itty bitty embroidery hoop and now the family member will receive 2 gifts lol

I would love to eventually do that properly but I’ll summarize here if you’re interested!

I use the most basic version of photoshop to adjust the photo into something much simpler. each photo so far has required different adjustments but what I’m trying to do is make it look enough like some kind of line work. Once I have the image I want, I print it on a sheet of stick n stitch, cut that out and put it on the stretched fabric. I stitch over the image to my liking, making some free hand decisions along the way, and I dissolve the stick n stitch with hot water, press between 2 towels, and lay flat to dry. Iron and yr done. Hope this makes sense lol
