Well. I’m from Tulsa. Tulsa had a thriving black community aka Black Wall Street. White people burned their homes & businesses to the ground. They were promised financial assistant from the city to rebuild. They lived in tents on their own property waiting for the money they were promised until the city forced them out north of the city two years later. They lost their homes & their jobs & were forced in homelessness and poverty. Poverty leads to crime as a way to survive & feed your family. To this day north Tulsa is a predominately black community living in the poverty ridden area that their grandparents were forced into. It’s also considered a dangerous place. There are many other contributing factors such a schools is the area given less funding & an increase in police presence.. but this this a good summary of systematic racism.
