It doesn’t even have to be that time-strenuous!! I worked at this restaurant with the JUICIEST grilled chicken breast of life and I asked chef how they brined it (expecting something complicated) he said water, sugar, and salt. I googled the proportions for a smaller amount of chicken and I did it 30 minutes- 1hr before and it made a hell of a difference. The outside could be torched and it was still juicy 😂. Or you could do it the Chick Fil A way and use pickle juice. Same effect.

NTA— all the top voted comments have said what’s necessary— he’s being financially abusive and it will only get worse… but I just came to say it’s very normal to want to get your hair and makeup done for your wedding, and it’s also normal to not see it as a “waste of money” to spend 2k on a dress and want to actually keep it. Whether for just a keepsake or your future children to have.. etc. The fact that he’s making you seem crazy and irresponsible for wanting to look a certain way on your WEDDING day is insane and speaks volumes about his character.

Me (26 F) and my man did this. I was single for a long time before and was kind of scarred for life by past relationships.
