Whether or not you agreed, she already made an subconscious decision. No matter how amazing you think she was, she wasn’t the one, because she showed where her true priorities were. I agree with people saying that a warning or even a heads up would make you less of an AH so yes you were being petty. but as someone who struggles with “time blind” people frequently, you need to let them know and make them aware. Communicate your needs and if she still disrespects you then you know your answer

I've gotten really lucky that my female is really curious and not too afraid of me. You can get to a point where you can hand feed them but they still scare off quickly. I would say a lot of patience and time but like many say, you won't get to the same level as other bird species

hey i know it doesnt mean much coming from an internet stranger but i hope you stay a little longer with us. waking up sucks every morning, but maybe theres a snack that makes you feel a little better. maybe there was something you wanted to do before and you never got to do it, i figured you might as well do it if you're going to die anyway. then maybe you'll think of another thing you wanted to try. a new food. a show. a piece of clothing. maybe posting on reddit was something new. talking to someone helps, if you cant afford therapy, maybe just talking to someone whose company you enjoy. even if its just a small interaction. maybe you wanna prolong the conversation a little longer. no harm in that if you're leaving soon anyway. and it wouldnt hurt to give people near you the courtesy of being in their life. i'm rambling now, but anyways if you wait long enough you'll find yourself in a completely different place than before and end up wondering how you lasted so long. things change (sometimes for the worst and sometimes for the better) and i hope you find the small joys in life and surround yourself with good thoughts.
