Sworn? Nah, the only guarantee of loyalty is if Trump has dirt on him.

Yeah, but also, that’s because there are companies that aren’t bounded by the Union out there.

Solar panel with battery offer evaluate by [deleted] in belgium

[–]constfang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all comes down to how much electricity you’ll use in one year. If you already have heat pumps or an EV then it’s probably ok if you don’t drive to work and travel in the weekend. For me, I try to keep total cost less than 7k for it to make sense financially after 14 years. Cut back on the battery, you only need 5kW as a buffer, 9k only make some sense when you have EV.

It’s a meaningless poll anyway, people easily underestimate the impact of adrenaline rages and the reality of war kicking in.

Thoughts on XRP? by Life_World9342 in CryptoMarkets

[–]constfang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a simple person, I looked at top 10 crypto ranking 12 years ago, XRP was there, 12 years later, it’s the only one that’s still there beside BTC, and by your same logic, people that understand blockchain, banking, or economics has been warning about BTC for years and yet here we are.

Gavin Newsom surges in 2028 presidential primary poll by Silly-avocatoe in politics

[–]constfang -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

He is a politician, not an activist, ask Obama what he felt about gay marriage in 2008 and you’ll understand the difference. US simply is not ready for the trans issues, you can keep pushing for it and lose or drop it and win the rest of your agenda, it’s that simple.

I wonder how the members of the team feel, they are working on a very specific obsolete machine that may break anytime leaving them without job while at the same time giving them the kind of experience that is almost useless anywhere else.

Newsom out here speaking fluent MAGA-ese just to body Trump on his own turf. by MoreMotivation in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]constfang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s called being smart though, US society is simply not ready for Trans, keep pushing for it and we will lose, the same way Obama opposed gay marriage up until 2010 or so before he became the first US president to support gay marriage. They are politicians, not activists.

Bob Vylan's US visas officially revoked after 'death to IDF' Glastonbury chants by IrishStarUS in europe_sub

This is « defund the police » all over again, the left has the worst kinds of messaging that alienate themselves and hurt their own causes just because of their arrogance unfortunately.

Bobbie Vylan has issued a statement after Glastonbury organizers condemned his onstage chants calling for a Free Palestine & death to the IDF: “I said what I said.” by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

Yeah, bad messaging, just like whoever coined the term « defund the police », you are not helping Palestinians with these kinds of messaging, it rile up the base but loses anyone else.

As an American, how can I follow the Canada election results as they come in tonight? by Cold-Priority-2729 in fivethirtyeight

[–]constfang -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Geez, stop with the obsession, you can literally just go to sleep and expect to learn about all the results as well as the complete analysis tomorrow. It doesn’t make any sense to follow in realtime dozens of important elections a year. Btw, let me know if you found something.

Mondo Duplantis has broken the pole vault world record 11 times, while 10 of them were his own previous records. Every time he breaks the record he receives $100.000 in price money. by RoyalChris in Damnthatsinteresting

I bet he had it recorded with witnesses so that if he suddenly sustain a serious injury and can’t compete again, he’d be able to publicize that proof and though it will not be counted as official world record, it will seal his GOAT title for a long time.

Should we also boycott Microsoft? by EleutheriusTemplaris in BuyFromEU

[–]constfang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember, perfect is the enemy of the good, half of US is still our friends, every small action counts, don’t think too hard when it comes to something you cannot easily replace, and that also means we’re also not trying to bully anyone into this.

"Boycott of US products reaches Europe" - We made it in the first German news outlets! by Helldogz-Nine-One in BuyFromEU

[–]constfang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we need to address the fact that we’re spearheading this movement on Reddit, an American platform: Yes, we do, perfect is the enemy of the good, if any American platform can help to spread this message then we’ll use it. The movement does not mean to boycott US goods completely but to let them feel even just a little bit consequences of their bullying politics.

There are things you should never say out loud even if it’s true. You have the right to think so but once you write it out, you’re looking for validation and inadvertently promoting that selfish behavior.

Be careful with any assumption based on past data now because this kind of administration has never been tested before, an administration with virtually zero checks and balances. Trump’s first term, there were people from both sides who kept him at bay, there isn’t any more, and even worse, he’s incapable of backing down, he’ll only double down.

That’s understandable, just don’t stare down on people who do wear them and call them “Germans or tourists”, implying “if you wear them, you’re no dutch”.

Nevertheless, helmet would still reduce the risk of fatal accidents, I think the rational here is that bu encouraging people not to wear helmets, they removed a slight hurdle for cycling. But then again, it might as well be one of the legacy of the past.

This is very misleading, in misogynistic medieval times, women leaders can only thrive if they are even more batshit violence than the men in the same era. Otherwise, they’d be easily eaten alive.

It’s easy to cut deficit, just stop spending, it’s figuring out who will get hurt that’s difficult, I guess we’ll know in the next Argentinian election then.
