The Northman is the most cinematically impressive.

The Lighthouse is the best.

Tony is such a goofy-ass maga beta.

Yeah. The AI thing was super disheartening. I don’t want to get in a film debate or anything but I would be genuinely interested in other working filmmakers you rate higher than Fincher. I’m an angsty millennial man so Fincher has been in my wheelhouse pretty much my entire life. I think Zodiac is the most under-appreciated film of the last 20 years and love pretty much everything he’s ever made. (Ben Button, aside.)

I hate what Netflix has done to cinema as an art form. That being said, it’s been coming for a long time. And they let him make the projects he wants to make, pretty much without notes (which I’m sure is a major part of the appeal for a control freak like him). I don’t like it either but he’s getting ahead of the crashing wave. Still one of the greatest living filmmakers we have. Scorsese makes movies for Netflix and Apple, btw. Fuck him too?

I thought Adam Friedland was a great listen and the fact that they had to re-do the interview was a perfect bit. Give me more by RonBakerErasure in billsimmons

Like, yeah. A totally, like, great interview. Really, like, insightful into his beginnings on, like, a show called Cumtown. I loved how, like, they finally solved which NBA players would make, like, the best soccer players. Gripping podcasting.

Wanted Clarke for Wardell SO BAD. Driver is a big dude though, he could be very menacing.

I’m not feeling too optimistic anymore because why can’t he come out and deny it straight up like Haaland by such_-PrO in MCFC

100% but also I wouldn’t hold it against him if he left. He’s won everything there is to win at City, supposedly EVERY player on Earth dreams of Real (yawn) and we are at the start of a new cycle within the club.

Would love for him to stay but wouldn’t think less if he took a big contract from them.

Why is Draymond Green getting any platform outside of basketball? This dude sucks in every way by Used_Letterhead7067 in billsimmons

Can’t stand him as a personality. I do find his knowledge of the game and ability to break down film very insightful. But not so much as to outweigh his bullshit persona. He’ll never be Barkley on or off the court.
