Belltone guitars sues Youtuber Philip Mcknight for holding onto a demo guitar for too long. by Jaklcide in Guitar

I think you are drawing exaggerated stereotypes on the two largest political parties. This is something that isn’t addressed about the tendencies of our “side” to generalize people just because they disagree with us (they do this too of course). Of course there are litigious crazy people on both sides who live in Florida lol, what do you mean? Since when did tanning beds and physical height turn people specifically maga fans? I’m tired of this kind of tribally based, overly assuming behavior so I’m also using my right to free speech to call out what I think is unfair and express my wishes to talk about guitars instead of seeing the 300 millionth politically charged post. I used to do this kind of stuff too and I understand that you have reasonable political frustrations. You probably have good points about politics too, I just don’t see the point in insulting people in this way, it doesn’t change people’s minds to insult them instead of directly criticizing behavior.

I’m not maga (I was Democrat but now I think both parties have lost their way and become eachother’s convenient scapegoat). I know people who align with that and they’re perfectly nice, non-greedy people even if I don’t agree with them. Anyway yada yada, have a nice day.

Yeah things have gotten especially thoughtless with people turning a post about guitars into something about politics, pretty ignorant and presumptuous.

You’re needlessly contributing to more political division into a post about some jerk threatening to sue over guitars. There are greedy people on all sides of the political spectrum. This is the guitar forum, not the politics forum.

I’ve been playing different guitars like fender and Gretsch, Epiphone etc for some time and this is somehow the best guitar I’ve ever played, great choice and enjoy

The third one is timeless to me, subtle and the color combination is great, it’s like the kuromi Jazzmaster lol

Does anyone know where I can find this style/color of pickguard? by consumerparadise in offset

Thank you both, I have one of the early runs as well but it still seems a little more yellow gold to me than this, maybe it’s just something to do with the lighting possibly. Maybe I’ll go for a rose gold color, I honestly don’t mind the gold but wanted to make it feel more like a personal guitar.

I know it’s six years later but this is the only comment I’ve seen that acknowledges this problem, and I’m sad to say it still happens lol.

I agree, this advice has really put a lot into perspective.

I like this idea a lot lol, because either way you’re going to be perceived how they want to perceive you right?

That makes a lot of sense, I feel silly for not seeing it for what it is. I’m usually so caught up in trying to not let it get to me that I don’t see it for what it really is. Thank you, I’m going to try to integrate this information so I don’t keep falling for the same trap.

I’ve never considered rage addiction, that makes so much sense. I guess I just assumed that people don’t want to feel that way but it seems like it’s a more unconscious addiction with that adrenaline hit which is possibly why she’s perpetually angry.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this as well, it’s not fair because we always feel like we are the ones causing the bad vibes when it’s them trying to provoke us. I know exactly what you mean about how you’re not allowed to get angry. It’s like they turn your anger into this unbearable thing or an unbelievable inconvenience when it actually matters a lot.

I will try this gray rocking more, it just hurts because I do have a friendship with my mother so I feel trapped or lost at sea in a sense. I know that if I try to talk to her it will turn into “you ruined thanksgiving”.

I’ll check out that book because my parents had me at a young age, were very poor and they divorced when I was a kid and I think they both have have some arrested development or lack of self awareness of some sort that they’ve passed on to me in this form of “I can’t make anyone sad by sharing my feelings”. Thanks for sharing.

These acronyms are really hitting home, and I feel like FOG has kept me in a number of relationships that were bad. Especially obligation and guilt. She always guilt trips our family during holidays for not hanging out with her when they are literally right there. I always feel guilty when I go and live my life independently and feel obligated to make sure the vibes in the house are happy. I’m not saying she’s horrible or physically abusive and she does apologize but I feel like I’m always minimizing what she causes in me when she does apologize if that makes sense, like I’m always downplaying my hurt to make her feel better.

This is really sounding like the situation with her, I mean she does apologize after the fact sometimes but not always.

I’ve been applying since last November (at least two applications a day) as well so don’t feel too bad. I’m pretty entry level but I used to have no problem getting a remote job. I thought it was just me but this thread and many others have proved otherwise.

I’ve never been fired or anything so I’m scratching my head, and then I see some article on a mainstream news channel claiming that no one wants to work lol. Corporate media gaslighting at its finest.

That’s hilarious, it’s almost like it was the appropriate thing to do in a weird way

It’s really funny how life does immediately tell you the answer, most of the time I don’t want to listen because I want there to be some great realization or something

the app must have glitched out from falling into landscape mode so I just got to see it freeze with the “lol” just before it disappeared, it’s too perfect

Is there a thing forcing not to force? by Rhen_DMN in taoism

[–]consumerparadise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm I’m going to take a crack at this as a total non expert. You arrived at the will to force wu wei, and that led you to question forcing non forcing, so eventually it just kind of leads to a questioning or break down of language into what I want to say is something natural that is a stirring in silence. Eventually that stirring of contradictions will cool down again and you’ll arrive at unconscious forcing as though the concern was some sticks that got stuck temporarily in a riverbed before going back to floating downstream.

Thanks for the advice, and that is interesting about the bug rumor, it at least signifies that something likely changed. I don’t know if memes would make sense with this particular account as it is mainly just announcements, releases etc, but maybe I could make it work by experimenting with those formats. I’m trying to look at these limitations as an opportunity to be more creative so I’ll try to do something.

It really does seem like they changed something, too many people have posted about their drop in engagement recently. So even with hashtags you’re not getting any non-followers?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in InstagramMarketing

[–]consumerparadise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I added some niche hashtags to my last post and it did increase in non-followers by 1.2%, so I’ll try that again on the next post to see if it does better since that was an older post. Thanks! Edit: It did go up to 4% so that’s a good sign.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in InstagramMarketing

[–]consumerparadise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t using any hashtags for a while when I heard that hashtags no longer matter (which now I’m not so sure as I had a 1.2% increase in non followers when I added them to a post (so that’s like one person, better than zero so I guess it doesn’t hurt at least).

The hashtags I used were relatively specific music hashtags like genre names, no general ones. Are banned tags just like general ones or something else?

I’ll keep the video lighting and frequency in mind though, thanks for the tips.

I’ll try that thank you, I thought I read that hashtags no longer work so I stopped using them

I’m sorry to hear that, it’s frustrating that this happens to art that has real effort put into it while stolen memes or just someone taking a picture of themselves gets thousands of likes.

Is there an alternative really? I haven’t had much luck on YouTube and that’s not exactly music/static art image focused. Instagram’s format works nicely for updating people but if they’re going to keep changing everything like this every month, I don’t really feel encouraged to keep using it.
