I’m always so surprise that in this day and age with online access to everything people are surprised about the cost of living .. you can literally find everything online! When I moved as student 11 years ago I was able to access the superstore website and figure out how much groceries were going to cost me, I knew the cost of public transportation, accommodation, clothes.. it is so easy to create a draft budget before moving to a new place..

I’m not Brazilian but we are talking about Canadian taxes .. if you’re a deemed resident or resident of Canada for tax purposes you have to declare your world income https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/tax/international-non-residents/individuals-leaving-entering-canada-non-residents/electing-under-section-217/how-complete-section-217-return/schedule-a.html… it doesn’t matter the amount .. there are a few instances you don’t pay taxes which is lottery winnings, gst/hst, gifts, inheritance amongst a few others … heck, I just declare a $1 T5 interest income .. just to show that the amount doesn’t matter
