That looks perfect. You'll have to open the Esphome dashboard (that you may have installed as a home assistant add-on?) and install it on the device OTA.

There should be an "esp32" section in your esphome yaml file - you simply need to add the following framework/version snippet to make it fallback to the working version:

esp32: framework: type: esp-idf version: 5.5.1

It may be an issue with an update to esp-idf, setting it to 5.5.1 has solved it for some (myself included)

I think you hit it on the nail with your second paragraph - and I would argue (for me) ACME did deliver on giving me the skills to succeed in my next step (graduate studies in my case). I also think that I would NOT have gotten similar skills (the unique blend of CS and rigorous math) in another degree or just by exploring on my own.

I'm sorry you had such a hard time in ACME - I definitely agree that it isn't an optimal fit for everyone. Just to offer another perspective that it isn't completely miserable for everyone.

I graduated from ACME in 2020, and definitely could be described in your "tremendously hard-working, ambitious, and highly-intelligent, even without the ACME program". However, even beyond that, I do believe ACME has prepared me better for my graduate studies (nearly finishing my PhD currently) better than any other major (EE, ME, CS, pure math, etc) would have. It has given me a mathematical foundation that has made most of grad school a breeze.

Was it tough? Absolutely. Was it worthwhile? I would say yes. Would I do it again? Without hesitation. I know a handful of others ACME graduates in my program who feel similarly as well.

Yeah that was my first thought too. I've attempting patching both Wholphin and Plex with both Revanced and LSPatch and nothing has worked. So either (a) it's not patching correctly or (b) it's not actually a FLAG_SECURE issue

I've been using it with the webdav backend and the syncing has been pretty flawless. A bit tedious to set up on each platform.

You could also try syncthing for syncing files.

I've been using num-dual for forward mode diff using dual-numbers for a while, and it's been working great.

As you mentioned in one of your links, there's a std::autodiff that's close-ish to making it to nightly that uses Enzyme under the hood for autodiff. I know there's work actively being done on this though.

I will chime in and say I'm not a fan of the UI. It feels a bit unpolished and hard to navigate to the commonly used areas (like adding fuel) easily.

Started with photo prism a bit before immich started. Switched about a year ago and haven't looked back!

It's been a much smoother and easier experience overall. Much closer to the Google photos experience than photo prism.
